Bill Pullman is an American film, who earned much fame when he portrayed the role of Earl Mott in the 1986 film entitled, Ruthless People. He was born on December 17, 1953 in Hornell, New York, to Johanna and James Pullman, a nurse and a physician. E was baptized with the real name of William James ‘Bill’ Pullman. He entered the Hornell high School and after he graduated, he enrolled at the State University of New York at Delhi as well as the State University of New York at Oneata. He subsequently had his Masters of Fine Arts from the University of Massachussetts Amherst. He also taught theater at SUNY Delhi and in Montana State University’s School of Film and Photography, where he was being encouraged by his students to enter film industry.

On the other hand, Pullman initially worked with the theatre companies across New York and in Los Angeles as well. moreover, Pullman earned much attention when he appeared in the comedy film of Ruthless People, which also starred Danny DeVito and Bette Midler. It was followed by a starring role in the 1987 film called, Spaceballs, together with John Candy and Daphne Zuniga. In year 1988, he appeared as Dennis Alan in the horror film entitled, The Serpent and the Rainbow. Moreover, in year 1995, he starred together with Sandra Bullock and Peter Gallagher in the romantic comedy film of While You Were Sleeping. On the following year, Pullman appeared in the box office hit film of Independence Day, where he portrayed the role of the US President.

Subsequently, Pullman starred in the 1997 film called, Lost Highway, where he portrayed the lead role of Fred Madison. In year 2004, he appeared as Peter Kirk in the horror film of The Grudge, together with the stars of Sarah Michelle Gellar and Jason Behr. In addition, Pullman also starred in the miniseries of Revelations, portraying the role of Richard Massey. On the following year, he portrayed the role of Henry Hale in the comedy film of Scary Movie 4, alongside Anna Faris and Regina Hall as well as Craig Bierko. He also appeared in the 2006 film of Alien Autopsy, where he portrayed the role of Morgan Banner, together with the stars of Declan Donnelly and Anthony McPartlin. Pullman was also included in the casts of the 2007 films of Nobel Son and You Kill Me.

On the following year, he starred together with Julia Ormand in the independent thriller film called, Surveillance as well as in the comedy-drama film of Bottle Shock, where he portrayed the role of Jim Barett, together with Alan Rickaman. Also, in year 2008, Pullman was included in the casts of the independent film of Phoebe in Wonderland, where he portrayed the role of Peter Lichten. In year 2010, he appeared in the film adaptation of The Killer Inside Me. He then appeared in the 2011 film of Too Big to Fall as well as in Bringing Up Bobby.
