While most brides want to get rid of their excess weight prior to their big day, it looks like Britney Spears has lost a considerable amount of weight in the run-up of her wedding.

The singing superstar appears incredibly lean in a photo shoot for the upcoming issue of V magazine.  The 30-year-old singer is seen sporting black bodycon skirt and stripy pink top with a neckline that plunges down her tiny waist.  She also donned some sky high platform sandals that made her athletic legs look even more toned.  And the figure-hugging outfit showed the singer is in formidable shape akin to when she burst onto the music scene aged 15 with her hit single Baby One More Time.  She may have made a conscious decision to lose weight before she ties the knot with former manager Jason Trawick.  Or it could be stress from planning the upcoming nuptials that has led the star to naturally drop a few pounds.  Regardless, she has clearly been working out regularly in an effort to achieve the healthy and lean look.

Britney appeared in the photo shoot and subsequent interview for V magazine alongside fellow musicians Katy Perry, Ke$ha and Drake.  The stars each posed for a photograph with their self-confessed second families, the teams who help to put them together.  Britney took to the stage for the photograph on the first day of her Femme Fatale tour, along with her nearest and dearest business coordinators.  She posed with her business managers Lou M. Taylor and Robin Greenhill and managers Adam Leber and Larry Rudolph.  Also present for the shot were Britney’s executive assistant Brett Miller, security guard Jimmy “Sugar” Kane, director of security Edan Yemin and health and fitness trainer Derek DeGrazio, who may be to thank for the star’s fantastic figure.

The other celebrities involved were photographed in similar shots with their self-professed second families.  Katy Perry was lifted into the air by her team, while Drake and his closest staff posed on a rooftop with their hands in their pockets.  Ke$ha decided to take things to the extreme and styled everyone in outrageous outfits and make-up before they posed for the picture, in which the TikTok singer groped her colleague’s chest.

Pop star Britney Spears is engaged to her boyfriend Jason Trawick, celebrity media outlets reported on Friday after the singer posted a message on Twitter about receiving “the one gift” for which she has longed.

Television show “Access Hollywood” said host Billy Bush reached Trawick by text message, and the groom-to-be confirmed the news. “Yes, we are engaged,” the show quoted Trawick as telling Bush.  The 40-year-old added that he is over the moon as she.  Celebrity news magazine Us Weekly also reported the engagement, citing an unnamed source, saying Trawick popped the question at a private dinner Thursday on his 40th birthday, presenting the singer with a three-carat round stone and pave diamond ring.  Jason revealed he popped the question in a very traditional manner (down one on knee), and added that Britney’s sons, 6-year-old Sean Preston and Jayden James, 5, were on hand to witness the happy proposal.  Spears, 30, added fuel to the wedding fire with her own tweet Friday that said Jason surprised her with the one gift she has been waiting for adding she cannot wait to show it and she is so excited.  Spears’ spokesman did not return requests for comment.

Website TMZ said the pair would be celebrating their engagement Friday night in Las Vegas.  Sources close to the couple tell TMZ that the intimate event will take place at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino before Jason Trawick’s big celebratory dinner.  Reportedly, the owner of the PH, Robert Earl, will personally attend the event and plans to make a toast to the happy couple.  As TMZ first reported, the pair will then move on to a massive celebratory dinner at the Chocolate Lounge at the Sugar Factory in the Paris Hotel followed by a dance party at Chateau night club.

Jason initially began working with Britney as her TV manager (while the star was still married to Kevin Federline), a job he gave up in 2009 after their relationship became romantic.  The “Toxic” singer has been dating her former agent Trawick since May 2010, after a turbulent few years in her personal and professional life in which she lost custody of her children and was forced to enter rehabilitation after a public meltdown.  She was previously married to dancer Kevin Federline for two years, with whom she has two children.  The singer also spontaneously married childhood friend Jason Alexander during a trip to Las Vegas in 2004.  That marriage lasted 55 hours before the singer annulled the union.

In October, Britney dropped her “Criminal” music video, in which her now-fiance plays her hero, saving the star from an abusive man at who slaps the pop star at a highbrow party.  The modern-day “Bonnie and Clyde” musical adventure is filled with various criminal acts intermixed with steamy shower scenes, and culminates in a massive slow motion shootout with the police as Britney and Jason lock lips in a blaze of bullets, then escape through the streets of London.

The pop star, who turned 30 Dec. 2, now rents an enormous new home outside Los Angeles with panoramic views of a golf course.  For a cool $25,000 a month, Spears, beau Jason Trawick and her sons Sean, 6, and Jayden, 5, reside in a 10,000 square foot estate situated on a 1.8-acre lot with plenty of bells and whistles in Thousand Oaks, California.

Her former abode is just a stone’s throw away from her new home and is nearly twice the size.  The pop star was leasing a 19,100 square-foot mansion with 10-bedrooms and 13-bathrooms in Hidden Hills.  However, her new two-story deluxe house is a little over 10,500 square-feet and has five bedrooms and six-and-a-half bathrooms. Still larger than most people could dream of.  The spacious home has inlaid marble and wood flooring and wrought-iron staircases with exposed-beam ceilings in various rooms throughout.

The home comes with a large entertainment room, custom theatre, swimming pool and a large back yard for them to run around in.  Jason, who is a Hollywood agent, can get some of his work done in peace in the wood-panelled library and maybe rustle up his famous girlfriend a bite to eat in the chef’s kitchen.  The house actually more resembles a resort than a residence, looks over the nearby golf course, and has a huge cabana with outdoor kitchen area that is perfect for entertaining guests.

The couple can use the home gym to keep in shape and it would be a pleasure to do so as it has floor to ceiling windows that look over onto an amazing view of the surrounding mountains.  When they retreat to their master bedroom, they will be met by an oversized bedroom with a ton of windows and french doors that lead on to a private patio with gorgeous vistas.  Their en-suite bathroom has a sunken tub that also looks out onto nearby hills.  The whole home is light and airy and a perfect place for Britney to raise her children, and if rumours are to be believed, host an engagement party soon amid reports that Justin will soon be popping the big question.

Spears, who is wrapping up her world tour, celebrated her birthday one week late last Friday — tweeting a photo of herself blowing out candles on a towering birthday cake on Friday.   She wrote that she is having an amazing time at the end of her tour – belated birthday party noting that the bash was in Puerto Rico, site of her final show.  The pop superstar hit the stage in San Juan, Puerto Rico December 10 for her final show on her Femme Fatale tour.  She was joined on stage by Jason, her two sons, sister Jamie Lynn, niece Maddie and mother Lynn for the track I Wanna Go.  Britney said in a recent interview that while she would be happy for her sons to follow in her footsteps career-wise, she would be very protective of them.

On Britney Spears’ Femme Fatale concert Monday, a 31-year-old woman was killed when she fell from a fairground ride set up outside Dublin’s O2 arena, Ireland.  The singer said on her tweeter feed Tuesday (October 25) that she was saddened to hear of the tragic accident in Dublin and expressed that her heart goes out to the family.  According to the Daily Mail, the deceased had been on hand at Brit’s Femme Fatale concert. After that, she boarded the above-mentioned ride when she fell, dying on the spot.  Spears performed in Belfast, Northern Ireland, the night after the incident and will play two shows in London this weekend.

Siobhan Healy, 31, was on a fairground ride called the Tip Top outside the concert venue when she was thrown to the ground and killed instantly.  It was unclear if the rides were connected to spears.  She was from Willsborough, outside Ballinlough in Co Roscommon, who was understood to be living in Dublin.  According to the U.K.’s Daily Mail, Healy had attended Spears’ concert earlier in the evening at the nearby O2 arena.  A family friend told the paper that the accident has devastated the residents of Healy’s hometown.  According to Michael McGreal the community is very shocked and he knows her family very well.  He said that they are all very upset.  He said that Ms. Healy was an only child and her mother, Doreen, had lost her husband several years ago.

An investigation has been launched to find out what caused the accident, with some speculating that the recent severe weather that has swept through Ireland might have been a contributing factor.  Kenneth McFadden, the owner of the company that runs the Tip Top ride, also expressed his condolences. He said that they could not say what happened, it all happened so quick and they are just in bits at the moment, they are just devastated.  McFadden also told the Daily Mail that he has had the Tip Top ride for nearly five years and never experienced any problems with it.  He said that it was possible the accident was captured by one of the CCTVs set up in the area.  According to him the tragic incident took place last night at one of the attractions they operate and said that they are cooperating in the investigation being done by the police.

While no official word as to what happened to this fan has been released, reports say that because of heavy rainfall, the ride may have malfunctioned. This is just one in several tragedies that has the weather to blame. Earlier this year at the Indiana State Fair, a stage collapsed while Sugerland was performing and a number of fans were killed in that incident.  Meanwhile, the incident involving Siobhan Healy is said to have occured at around 11.20pm at the Point Village, which is located next to the O2. The Tip Top ride is reported as being run by Kenneth McFadden, owner of McFadden’s Entertainment.

The songstress, Britney Spears released her highly anticipated music video “Criminal” at midnight on Tuesday (October 18).  The 29-year-old pop star messaged her faithful followers just hours before the video’s debut.  She said she is excited for all to see the Criminal video and asked who is going to stay up and watch on @iTunesMusic that midnight at EST.  Playing a modern Bonnie and Clyde-style duo, Britney along with boyfriend Jason Trawick out their passions with little inhibition and give a steamy look and what goes on in their bedroom.

In the beginning of the video, the singer was caught in an unhappy relationship getting into a physical fight with her boyfriend in a fancy party.  Jason plays a bad boy who Britney falls for after he saves her from her abusive boyfriend.  As the relationship heats up, a hot and heavy sex scene follows seeing Jason probing into his barely dressed girlfriend before they get in the bed.  There was a scene that showcase the fake tattoo covering the back of the undressed Trawick which serves as a part of his bad boy character.  The bad boy soon leads the pop star astray though, into a world of crime.   The pair holds up a store with guns in scenes filmed in London last month.  The police chase them down to their hideout.

The video produced number of controversies not only due to the X-rated nature of the video but also due to the violence depicted in it.  As the pictures of Spears escaping Stoke Newington Town Hall with a replica gun in hand surfaced, MPs angrily said that they had not been informed of the nature of the video when they agreed to the filming to take place.  A spokesperson for the council stated that while the agreement was for anonymous use of Stoke Newington Town Hall, they did not agree that a replica gun can be used.  He added that they are disappointed the film crew made a last-minute change to the scene and confirmed that the production company has apologized.

Some residents in the town are not equally happy with the said video since the area was affected by the recent London riots.  Councilor Ian Rathbone said that he thinks that she (Britney) should make a sizeable donation to a Hackney charity that deals with young people… for the rudeness and damage she has done to this community.  Hackney MP Diane Abbot shared her thoughts about the issue; she said that it is only a music video but its images like this, with pop star’s glamorizing gangs, which means that some people get drawn in.  Britney should really know better.

Spears announced that “Criminal” would be her next single backstage at the Video Music Awards, and she has been promoting it with the release of artwork and a new remix album over the past few weeks.  A spokesperson for the singer could not be reached for comment on the “Criminal” controversy by press time.

Britney Jean Spears, or simply Britney, is an American pop and dance artist who began performing at a very young age. At age eight, she auditioned for the 1990s revival of The Mickey Mouse Club only to be rejected by the casting director Matt Cassella because she was too young at the time.
