The 55-year-old American actor, who is most notable for the portrayal of Hal in the comedy TV series called, Malcolm in the Middle. Cranston was born on March 7, 1956 in Canoga Park, California, to Peggy Sell and Joe Cranston, who is also an actor. He then grew up in an area located in Los Angeles. He graduated from the Canoga Park High School. He also studied the police science in college. On the other hand, Cranston started his professional career after his college in local and regional theatres, having his first start in the Granada Theater in the San Fernando Valley.
Bryan Cranston has then worked regularly since the year 1980s, portraying mostly small roles. Nevertheless, his advertising work includes commercials for the Lay’s potato chips, Excedrin and Honda Accord as well as Coffee-Mate. On the other hand, voice acting includes the English dubbing of a Japanese anime, under the screen name of Lee Stone. Cranston was one of the original cast members of the ABC soap opera called, Loving, where he portrayed the role of Douglas Donovan from the year 1983 to year 1985. He was also included in the casts of the short-lived series show of Raising Miranda in year 1988.
Before Cranston appeared in the TV series of Malcolm in the Middle, he portrayed the role of astronaut Buzz Aldrin in one of the TV series of the cable network of HBO entitled, From the Earth to the Moon. He has also portrayed the role of the astronaut Gus Grissom in the film called, That Thing You Do!. He then appeared in film of ‘Twas the Night, where he portrayed the role of Mick Wrigley. the film was released in the winter of 2001.
Cranston also appeared in the Steven Spielberg’s film of Saving Private Ryan, which also starred Tom Hanks. He had a recurring role of Dr. Tim Whatley in the TV series of Seinfeld. Also, Cranston got a recurring role in one of the sitcoms of CBS network entitled, The King of Queens, where he portrayed the role of Tim Sacksky. On the other hand, Cranston had directedsome of the episodes of the series of Malcolm in the Middle and already earned three Emmy nominations for hi portrayal on the said show.
Cranston appeared as a guest star in various TV series like The Flash, where he portrayed the role of a white-collar criminal, who is looking for both of his wife and daughter. He also appeared in Sabrina the Teenage Witch. In year 2008, he narrated a pre-teen audiobook entitled, Adventures with Kazmire the Flying Camel. He is currently has a leading role on the series show of Breaking Bad. For his portrayal on the said series, Cranston took home an Emmy Award for the lead actor in a drama for three winning times. In addition, Cranston starred together with Joe Pesci and Helen Mirren in the film called, Love Ranch. He was also included in the casts of Red Tails.
