Callum Keith Rennie is a British actor, who earned much prominence for the portrayal of Stanley Raymond Kowalski in the TV series called, Due South. He was born on September 14, 1960 in Sunderland, England. He was the second of three children and was raised in a middle class family in Edmonton, Alberta. He entered the Strathcona High School. He then left college and had various of jobs and stayed in Vancouver as well as in Toronto before he settled in Vancouver. After being involved in alcohol in serious time, Rennie had learned to control his habit to be able to act properly. On the other hand, when Rennie was working at the campus radio, he eventually showed interest on acting. Rennie started his professional career on acting on stage, acting at the A.B.O.P. Theatre in Edmonton in Amerika, earning a spot in the play production called, American Buffalo.
On the other hand, Rennie had his first screen appearance in the Canadian film called, Purple Toast, which has been released in year 1993. On the same year, he started to grab small roles in TV, includes the Highlander Forever Knight. He then appeared in the Independent film of Frank’s Cock as well as in Double Happiness, where he portrayed the role of Mark, which earned him a Genie Award nomination for the best supporting actor. in year 1996, he also appeared in Hard Core Logo. In year 1999, he won his first Genie Award for the portrayal of Craig Zwiller in the drama film called, Last Night. On the following year, he starred as Dodd in the thriller film entitled, Memento. In year 2002, Rennie he starred in the drama film of Flower and Garnet, where he portrayed the role of Ed. On the following year, he appeared in the film called Falling Angels, which also starred Miranda Richardson, Katharine Isabelle, Kristin Adams and Monte Gagne.
He then included in the casts of the 2004 film of Wilby Wonderful, where he portrayed the lead role of Duck McDonald. On the following year, Rennie appeared as Victor in the film of Lucid as well as in Shooting Gallery, where he portrayed the role of Michael Mortenson. Also, in year 2005, he appeared in the film called, Whole New Thing, which also includes the stars of Aaron Webber, Daniel Macivor and Robert Joy as well as Rebecca Jenkins. In year 2006, Rennie includes in the films of Show Cake and Unnatural & Accidental, where he portrayed the roles of John Neil and Norman, respectively. On the following year, Rennie appeared as Shaw in the film called, Code Name: The Cleaner as well as in The Invisible, as Det. Brian Larson. In year 2009, Rennie portrayed the supporting role of Edward Sullivan in the horror film entitled, Case 39. On the other hand, he starred in the 2010 film of Faith, Fraud & Minimum Wage, where he portrayed the role of Donald McMullen.
