The country musician has been born and bred in the town of Muskogee, Oklahoma. Her parents are Stephen and Carole Underwood. Life back then for Underwood was very easy. She captivated all three judges with her own rendition of Tiffany’s “Could’ve Been.” Even Simon Cowell was amazed on the magnitude of Carries voice, saying that she got what it takes to win that season. He further added that Underwood is one of his favorite contestants of that season. Furthermore, he said that Underwood would outsell other Idol winners in the past or in the coming years ahead when it comes in profitability. As a result, it gave way for her fans to create a fan base dubbed as Carrie’s Care Bears.

Soon after the competition, Underwood had gained so many projects here and everywhere. She became busy in writing songs, guest appearances, tours and concerts. She was also part of different charitable organizations such as Idol Gives Back. She had several albums under her belt and all of it can be considered as successful. Her first album, Some Hearts, was certified platinum seven times and in the history of Nielsen SoundScan, it has been the fastest selling debut country album. Underwood’s singles and albums made it to different music charts, making way for Underwood to further boost her popularity among others. Also, she became one of the women in Hollywood that is sought after her classy looks and elegant dresses.

Presently, Underwood has been busy in doing tours, promotions and concerts around the country. She also became part of the film Soul Surfer. This is the first movie she starred on. On July 10, 2010, she married former Ottawa Senators and now Nashville Predators hockey player Mike Fisher. The wedding happened on the elegant and splendid Ritz Carlton Hotel with about 250 people in attendance. These include Fisher’s fellow hockey players and some other important people in the music scene. With different awards under her belt, it is expected that Carrie Underwood will continue to show the world that she has more to offer.
