Charlize Theron graces the cover of Vogue December 2011.  In the interview, the 36-year-old actress candidly talks about winning the Oscar, ‘Young Adult’ and her character Mavis Gary, ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’, Kristen Stewart, but also about teenage love, being single again and rediscovering herself.

Charlize Theron may have once been a supermodel but her acting chops prove that that means nothing anymore.  Charlize is returning to starring roles again after a brief hiatus on her career.  She is starring in the new Jason Reitman directed flick, “Young Adult” and in next year’s “Snow White and the Hunstman.”  Theron is not just an extremely talented and beautiful actress. She also has her own production company, Denver and Delilah, with projects ranging from films to reality TV, and a foundation, Africa Outreach Project, whose mission is to reduce HIV/AIDS and sexual violence among African youth.

On getting drunk and introducing herself to Jason Reitman at the Oscars, she said that she did that horrible, embarrassing thing adding that she just really, really, really loved Up in the Air.  On her breakout role on “Monster,” she said that it was life changing and it opened a lot of doors but it made people have a lot of opinions about what should happen next.  According to her, you realize quickly that you can never please everybody.  On taking a break from acting to work on her relationship with Stuart Townsend, she said that it was sinking and she had to give it a fight.  According to her, she really wanted to try to make it work noting that it was the priority.  She said that she would not do it any different way.

On being single for the first time in 10 years, she said that she never been single noting that it was the first time in her life.  According to her, from the time she was nineteen, she has been in relationships, literally gone from one to the other within a month.  She said that it has been good for her adding that she is a creature who really found her comfort zone in relationships.  On having eight dogs, she said that after three, it does not matter anymore.

On returning to acting on the set of “Young Adult, she said that she realized how much she love what she do and she really, really missed it.  According to her, approximately week three, she had this horrible sappy moment where she got a little overwhelmed noting that it was just a really great f8cking experience.  She said that she had gotten out of a relationship and she was in this really floaty place adding that her feet were not touching the ground.  She added that she just turned to Reitman and she felt like she was her again.

On wearing fake breast “cutlets” to improve her bustline, she said that she was on a date and started making out noting that it was moving a little further so she realized she had to get the cutlets out but her bag was small and she could not fit them in the thing.  According to her, she may have hid them in his trash with lots of toilet paper.

Charlize Theron is a South African actress, who is most notable for the portrayal in the 1996 film of 2 Days In the Valley. She was born on August 7, 1975 in Benoni, South Africa, to Gerda Jacoba Aletta and Charlee Jacobus Theron.  Her mother has a German descent, while her father s of Occitan and Dutch ancestry. In addition, Theron grew up on her parents’ farm in Benoni. Theron entered the Putfontein Primary School. At the young age of thirteen, she was being sent into a boarding school and started her studies at the National School of the Arts in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Moreover, at the young age of 16, Theron moved to Milan for a year modeling deal, after she won a local competition. She then travelled to New York with the renowned Pauline’s Model Management. She had a decision to stay after her contract expired, enrolling at the Jofferey Ballet School, where she was being trained as a ballet dancer.  After having a knee injury at the age of 19, Theron left the ballet school and subsequently travelled to Los Angeles. As an actress, Theron appeared in the 1996 film entitled, 2 Days in the Valley, where she portrayed the role of Helga Svelgen, alongside Danny Aiello and Greg Cruttwell as well as Jeff Daniels and Teri Hatcher.

On the other hand, in year 1997, she was included in the casts of the horror film of The Devil’s Advocate, where she portrayed the role of Mary Ann Lomax, together with Keanu Reeves and Al Pacino. On the following year, she appeared together with Bill Paxton in the family film entitled, Mighty Joe Young. In year 1999, Theron portrayed the role f Candy Kendall in the drama film of The Cider House Rules, which also includes the stars of Tobey Maguire and Michael Caine. In year 2003, Theron portrayed the lead role of Aileen Wuornos in the crime drama film entitled, Monster, which also includes the stars if Christina Ricci and Bruce Dern. For her portrayal on the said film, Theron earned total of 17 awards.

In year 2005, Theron was included in the casts of the drama film called, North America, where she portrayed the role of Josey Aimes. The film garnered her the honor for the Best Actress Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations. On the same year, she appeared on the third season of the TV series of FOX entitled, Arrested Development. In year 2008, Theron was crowned as the hasty Pudding Theatricals Woman of the Year. Also, in year 2008, she starred together with Will Smith in the superhero film called, Hancock. On the following year, she was included in the casts of the sequel film of Mad Max: Road Fury. In addition, Theron was also included in the upcoming film of Snow White and the Huntsman, where she will be portraying the role of The Wicked Queen.
