Chris Evans is an American actor, who earned much prominence for the portrayal of Cary Baston in the TV series called, Opposite Sex. He was born on June 13, 1981 in Boston, Massachusetts, to lisa Marie and G. Robert ‘Bob’ Evans III, an artistic director and a dentist. He was baptized with the real name of Christopher Robert ‘Chris’ Evans and has two sisters named Carly and Shanna as well as a younger brother named Scott. Evans was raised as a Roman Catholic and attended the Lincoln-Sudburry Regional High School. After he filmed Not Another Teen Movie, he had lead roles in the film of The Perfect Score and in the thriller film called, Cellular, where he portrayed the role of Ryan, together with Kim Basinger and Jason Statham.
Evans subsequently starred in two independent films of Fierce People and London. He then portrayed the role of Johnny Storm the Human Torch in the adaptation of Fantastic Four. He reprised the role in the 2007 sequel film of Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. On the same year, he starred in the science fiction film of Sunshine, which also starred Cillian Murphy and Rose Byrne. In year 2008, he appeared in the action film called, Street Kings, which also starred Keanu Reeves and Hugh Laurie as well as Forest Whitaker. He then appeared in Jimmy Dobyne in the 2009 film of The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond, which also starred Bryce Dallas Howard and Ellen Burstyn. On the following year, Evans also appeared in the thriller film of Push, together with Dakota Fanning and Camilla Belle.
In year 2010, Evans finished filming the independent film called, Puncture, which also starred Mark Kassen and Marshall Bell. The film was released on April 21, 2011. On the same year, Evans also appeared in the action-comedy film entitled, The Losers, where he portrayed the role of Jake Jensen together with Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Idris Elba as well as Zoe Saldana. The film was originally based on the book series from the DC Comics imprint Vertigo. He subsequently appeared in the other book adaptation of Edgar Wright entitled, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, where he played the role of Lucas Lee. He also portrayed the role of Captain America in the 2011 superhero film of Captain America: The First Avenger, together with Tommy Lee Jones and Hugo Weaving as well as Haley Atwell. He also starred in the romantic comedy film called, What’s Your Number, where he portrayed the role of Colin Shea, together with the stars of Ally Darling. Evans is set to reprise the role in the upcoming superhero film of The Avengers, which also includes the stars of Robert Downey and Mark Ruffalo as well as Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson and Jeremy Renner.
