Chris Pine is an American actor, who was born on August 28, 1980 in Los Angeles California to Robert Pine and Gwynne Gliford, who were an actor and a former actress. He was baptized with the real name of Christopher Whitelaw Pine and has an older sister name Katie. His maternal grandmother, Anne Gwynne, was also a Hollywood actress, while his maternal grandfather, Max Gliford, was said to be an attorney that has been chosen to be the president of the Hollywood Bar Association. Chris Pine has the combination of Welsh and Jewish decent.

Chris Pine entered the Oakwood School for his High School years. He earned a bachelor’s degree in English for the University of California, Berkeley, in the year 2002. Pine also entered the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom, where he studied English for only one year. After his graduation, Pine also studied at the American Conservatory Theater, which was located in San Francisco.

When it comes to his acting career, Chris Pine was first made his professional role in one of the episodes of the TV series called, ER, in year 2003. On the same year, he also starred in some of the episodes of The Guradian and in CSI: Miami. On the following year, he also appeared the short film called, Why Germany? And in the sequel film of The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement, while in year 2005, he was included in one of the episodes of the series show of Six Feet Under. Also, he appeared in an independent film of Confession as well as in The Bulls.

Pine also starred together with Lindsay Lohan in the 2006 film of Just My Luck. On the same year, Pine also starred in the comedy film of Blind Dating as well in the film of Smoking Aces.  In May 2007, he starred together with Scott Wolf in Fat Pig, at the Los Angeles’ Playhouse from May 5 until June 17. In year 2008, Pine landed on the 27th spot of the Entertainment Weekly’s 30 Under 30 list and on the same year, he was also included on the ‘Top Ten Actor to Watch’ list of the Variety magazine.

On the other hand, Pines dropped down a role in the adaptation film of White Jazz in year 2007, just to a role on the 2009 film called, Star Trek, which garnered critical and viewers acclaim. During the summer of year 2010, Pines made an appearance in the Los Angeles Production of The Lieutenant of Inishmore. O his performance on the said film; he was honored by the MTV VMAs on September of the same year.

Chris Pine was reportedly rumored for the lead role on the recently released film of Green Lantern, which was led by Ryan Reynolds. On the contrary, Pine, is set to appear on the film entitled, This Means War, together with Reese Witherspoon and Tom Hardy. The said film will be hitting the big screen in year 2012.  He is also set to star on the upcoming drama film of Welcome To People, alongside Olivia Wilde and Elisabeth Banks.
