Christian Slater is an American actor, who is most notable for the portrayal in the 1995 film of The Legend of Billie Jean.he was born on August 18, 1969 in New York City, to Mary Jo Slater and Michael Hawkins, a producer and an actor. Slater has a maternal half-brother named Ryan Slater, who is also an actor like him. He was baptized with the real name of Christian Michael Leonard Slater. He entered the Dalton School and the Professional Children’s School as well as the Fiorello Ho, LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts. After a run on the soap opera of the ABC network called, Ryan’s Hope, Slater had his debut on Broadway in the 1980 remake of The Music Man. He also appeared in the productions of the Copperfield and in Merlin as well as in Macbeth, Sideman and The Glass Menagerie. Slater has also performed in London’s West End in the production called, one Flew Over the Cuckoo’s nest as well as in Swimming with Sharks.
On the other hand, Slater had his film debut in year 1985, in the film entitled, The Legend of Billie Jean, where he portrayed the role of the brother of Billie Jean named, Binx. He then earned much prominence when he appeared together with Sean Connery in the film called, Te Name of the Rose, where he portrayed the role of Adso of Melk. In year 1989, Slater appeared in the films of Gleaming the Cube and Beyond the Stars. On the same year, he portrayed the role of Jason Dean in the black comedy film of Heathers. In year 1990, he starred together with Emilio Estevez and Kiefer Sutherland in the film entitled, Young Guns II.
On the following year, he was included in the casts of the remake film of Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, which also includes the stars of Kevin Costner and Morgan Freeman as well as Alan Rickman. He then had a small role in the feature film of Star Trek entitled, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. In year 1996, Slater appeared together with John Travolta in the film called, Broken Arrow as well as in the film of Hard Rain. In year 2000, he appeared in the TV series of Alias and in The West Wing. He was then included in the ensemble of the 2001 film of 3000 Miles to Graceland and in the 2006 film called, Bobby. In year 2009, Slater also had an appearance in the drama series entitled, The Forgotten, she subsequently starred in the 2011 TV series called, Breaking In. However, on May 2011, the show has been pulled out. On the other hand, the show has been save and renewed for its second season.
