Clive Owen was born on October 3, 1964 in Coventry, in the English Midlands, to Pamela and Jess Owen, who is a country and western recording artist. He was the fourth of five brothers and when he was at the young age of three, his father left him as well as his family, even though they had a brief settlement when he was 19, Owen and his father remained estranged. Owen was raised his both of his mother and stepfather. When he initially did not want to get involved to drama school, he still changed his mind. In addition, Owen graduated in year 1987 from the Royal Academy Dramatic Art.

He then appeared in the Carlton production entitled, Sharman. Owen made an appearance on his first ever Hollywood movie of The Rich Man’s Wife in year 1996, together with the star of Halle Berry. In addition, Owen also appeared in the BBC production of Split Second, where he portrayed the role of a accident-prone driver.

Clive Owen is currently in the production of the Irish UK production called, Shadow Dancer, which is about a young mother who is seriously involved with the Irish republican movement. On the other hand, the upcoming also includes the stars of Andrea Riseborough, Gillian Anderson and Aidan Gillen. The film is set to direct by the film director James Marsh.  In his personal life, Owen turned to be a patron of the Electric Palace Cinema in Harwich Essex, England and released an appeal for funds to reconstruct deteriorating elements of the fabric. Owen was into music of indie rock band called, Hard-Fi.

In June 2010, Owen and Nicole Kidman were announced as the stars in an HBO drama film entitled, Hemingway & Gellhom, which about Ernest Hemingway and his connection with Martha Gelhom the film will be produced by James Gandolfini and the film was said to be written by Barbara Turner as well as Jerry Stahl. On the other hand, the film is set to direct by Philip Kaufman. In addition, it was said that the production for the film is set to start on the following year.
