The 26-year-old American actor, who is most notable on his portrayal as Simon Camden in the well known TV series of 7th heaven, was born on February 9, 1986 in College Point New York. He is the son of Elena Gallagher and Darren James Gallagher. When he was still a baby, his parents separated and her mother got married to Vincent Casey. Gallagher has the combination of Cuban and Irish descent, Cuban from his mother’s side, while Irish from his father’s side. He has four younger half siblings named, Michele, Kelly, Jacob and Killian. It was said that Killian was diagnosed for being autism at the young age of three and because of that Gallagher became an active supporter as well as spokesperson for the organization called, Cure Autism Now. Gallagher’s family is currently living in Marietta, Georgia. In year 2003, Gallagher graduated from the Chaminade College Preparatory Scholl in California and then entered the University of Southern California, where he took his major in film and television studies.

At the young age of two, David Gallagher started on acting, appearing in some of the print ads in and across the New York City, which resulted for him to appear to appear in carious commercial works. He then appeared in several TV commercials. Gallagher first appeared in the 1993 film sequel of Look Who’s Talking Now, where he portrayed the role of the son of John Travolta and Kirstie Alley, Mikey. In addition, the drama series also became the highest-rated show in the history of the WB Network. His portrayal on the said series turned him a teen idol. However, while the 8th season of 7th Heaven is currently airing, Gallagher made a decision to leave the show, to be able for him to attend college in fulltime.

After Gallagher left the said show, he is subsequently appeared in the series drama called, Numb3rs, where he portrayed the role of Buck Winters, who is a Serial Killer. He then reprised the said role on January 2009. He then appeared opener of the sixth season of the series of CSI: Miami, where he also portrayed an alleged killer. Gallagher also appeared in the horror sequel called, Boogeyman 2. He then portrayed the role of Paul Shapiro in the drama entitled, saving Grace. Gallagher is famously known for having voiced the character of Riku in the video game franchise of Kingdom Hearts. He also appeared on the second until the last episode of the series show called, The Deep Ends, where he portrayed the role of a man who has been charged with the second-degree murder, even though he claimed that he is innocent.
