Denise Richards and Richie Sambora are dating again. The two were together for about a year before splitting up in 2007. A source confirms that Richards and Sambora have reunited when the reportedly had a dinner Sunday night at a Japanese restaurant in Woodland Hills, California. The source said that they were very happy and were dating adding that they never stopped caring for each other.
After her BFF, Heather Locklear, divorced her Bon Jovi rocker husband, Richie Sambora, Denise Richards decided to take him for a spin. Richards first dated Sambora in 2006 after she split from Charlie Sheen and of course she was accused of stealing her best friend’s man. However, Denise stands by the claim that she dated a former friend’s husband but did not break up a marriage.
It is easy to look down on Richards in this situation, but keep in mind, there are three sides to every story: the two sides of both parties involved, and then what actually happened. I learned that from Jersey Shore. Per Denise’s side of the story, she claimed that she and Sambora were friends and they were going through divorces, which allegedly drew them to each other. According to her, she did not steal someone’s husband but she did date a former friend’s ex-husband. She also claimed that she did not break up a marriage since she is no longer friends with Locklear when she and Richie got together.
When the two decided to call a quit on their relationship, the source said at the time that they did break up about a month prior to Richie’s dad’s death. Denise came to the funeral to support Richie but he needed to focus on his daughter Ava and wished Denise and her kids all the best.
A source told US Weekly when the two started to get along well again that they have always stayed friends, through everything they have gone through adding that, he has had a rough patch and has had her own stuff but they are both in a great place now. Another source said that the two are doing great and happy and it is really nice for both of them
On Richard’s memoir, The Real Girl Next Door, she wrote that she and Richie shared an easiness she had not before had. According to her, they were able to open, honest and completely authentic with each other with no judgment. The Blue Mountain State actress also revealed in the book that she and Sambora had seen each other a few times over the years after the split, but never went to public. She said that she does not regret her relationship with him and she learned a hard lesson from their journey together. She added that her heart may have been bruised but it was pure. Richards also claimed that Richie is a wonderful man coming into her life when she needed him and he needed her saying that they will always have that bond.
