Dermot Mulroney is an American actor, who was born on October 31, 1963 in Alexandria, Virginia, to Ellen and Michael Mulroney, an amateur actress and a law professor. Mulroney has a sister named Moira, who worked in the Philadelphia DA’s office and three brothers named Conor and Sean as well as Kieran, who is also an actor like him. In addition, Mulroney entered the Interochen Arts Camp as a cellist, he also enrolled at the T.C Williams High School, where he graduated in year 1981, the said high school portrayed in Remember the Titans and Northwestern University, where he graduated in year 1985. He also entered the Evanston, Illinois, where he became one of the members of the fraternity called, Phi Gamma Delta.
Most of the portrayal of Mulroney was in the romantic comedy films. He already appeared in various films, which also includes the male lead role in film of My Best Friend’s Wedding, which also starred Julia Roberts and Cameron Diaz. He is most notable for his western roles as an outlaw or a gunman. Mulroney subsequently starred in the 1988 western film of Young Guns, where he portrayed the role of “Dirty Steve” Stephens. In year 1994, Mulroney was included in the casts of the film of The Last Law. He then appeared in the film called, Longtime Companion and the Family Stone, which also starred Sarah Jessica Parker. In year2005, he appeared together with Debra Messing in the film of The Wedding Date.
Mulroney portrayed the role of Gavin Mitchell on the TV series of Friends. In year 1993, he wrote a song entitled, Someone Else’s Used Guitar, for Peter Bogdanovich’s The Thing called Love. In addition, Mulroney also had a short appearance in the Joaquin Phoenix directed video of Tired of Being Sorry for the band of Balthazar Getty called, ringside. He also received credits as a song performer on the film and for the other four tunes. In year 2007, Mulroney voiced the character of Green Lantern Hal Jordan in the animated series show of The Batman, in its fifth season episode entitled, Ring Toss. On the other hand, he made his directorial debut in the 2011 romantic comedy film of Love, Wedding, Marriage.
In his personal life, Mulroney tied the knot together with the actress Catherine Keener in year 1990, after the couple met in year 1987 when filming the Survival Quest. However, the couple ended their marriage in May 2005 and filed for divorce on June 2006. The divorce has been finalized on December 2007. The former couple had a child named Clyde Keener Mulroney, who was born on June 21, 1999. On the other hand, Mulroney is currently married to Tharita Catulle and had two children named Mabel Ray Mulroney and their second child was born on July 2009.
