The American actor who is a professional wrestler and was also known by his ring name, The Rock, was born on May 2, 1972 and was baptized with the real name of Dwayne Douglas Johnson. He was born in Hayward, California to Ata Johnson and Rocky Johnson, who is also a former professional wrestler. He Lived with his mother’s family in Auckland, New Zealand and then entered  the Richmond Road Primary school before they returned to the United States together with his family.

Johnson was a college football player and in year 1992 and became part of the University of Miami’s national championship. In year 1995, Johnson endured back injury that gave him a spot in the NFL.  He then signed a three year contract with the Canadian League. However, after almost a year, he left the team for him to focus with his wrestling profession. On the following year, he made his wrestling debut with the USWA, carrying the name of Flex Javanah.

Dwayne Johnson also joined the WWE in year 1996 where he was reined as Rocky Maivia. His name Rocky was ultimately took the role of The Rock. In year 2000, The Rock took a Break to the ring of Wrestling for him to film his role on the 2001 film called, The Mummy Returns. However, he then returned to the ring in the WCW/ECW invasion, where he joined a WWE wrestlers team at the 2002 film of The Scorpion King.

Johnson’s achievement inside the ring, gave him an opportunity to enter the world of showbiz. in year 2000, he hosted the renowned show called, Saturday Night Live. In addition, his co wrestlers, Triple H and The Big Show, as well as Mick Foley, were also appeared on the said show. After his successful appearance on SNL, he received lots of offer from Hollywood. He then starred in various films.

In year 2009, he made an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and hosted the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards on the same year. He also appeared in one of the episodes of Wizards of Waverly Place entitled, Art Teacher. On the other hand he starred on the 2010 comedy film of Tooth Fairy. In this current year, 2011, he also starred as one of the key role of the fourth sequel of the Fast and The Furious Film series entitled, Fast Five. On the said film, he portrayed the role of Luke Hobbs. On the other hand, April 2011, Johnson was announced as the star as well as the producer of the upcoming biopic film of the life of the country musician, Charley Pride.

In his personal life, he unleashed his own autobiography that was co-written by Joe Layden in year 2000. The book landed on top of The New York Times Best Seller List. In addition, Johnson tied the knot with Dany Garcia in year 1997 and had a daughter named, Simone Alexandra. However, the former couple announced that they will be divorcing in year 2007.
