Ellen Page, who is a Canadian actress, was born on February 21, 1987 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, to Martha Philpotts and Dennis Page, a teacher and a graphic designer. She entered the Halifax Grammar School until her tenth grade and has also entered the Queen Elizabeth High School. In 2005, she graduated in the Shambhala School. She also spent her two in Toronto, Ontario taking the Interact program at the Vaughn Road Academy together with one of her closest friends and fellow actor Mark Rendall. In addition, Page loved playing with the action figures and climbing trees.

At the young age of four, Ellen Page showed some passion when it comes to acting, appearing in various school plays. St the age of ten, Page debuted on film industry, when she appeared on the CBC TV film of Pit Pony, which later changed in to a TV series. Her portrayal on the said show earned her some more roles in some of a small Canadian movies as well as TV series.

Ellen Page is most notable on her portrayal as Treena Lahey on the second season of the series show od Trailer Park Boys. When she was 16 years old, Page was included in the casts of the independent film of Mouth to Mouth, which has been shot in Europe. On the other hand, Ellen Page also appeared in the film called, Hard Candy in year 2005, which garnered her honor for ‘one of the most intricate disturbing and recurring acting job. She also starred in the X-Men: The Last Stand, where she portrayed the role of Kitty Pryde

She also earned a nomination for an Academy Award for the Best Actress for her portrayal in Juno but unfortunately, Page lost to Marion Cotillard in La Vie En Rose. However, after losing for the said category, Page’s role still garnered various awards, which also includes the Canadian Comedy Award, Independent Spirit Awards as well as the Spirit Award. In addition, Page also appeared in the film called, Smart People, which landed at the Sundance Film Festival in year 2008. She is set to portray the lead character in the adaptation of Jane Eyre of Charlotte Bronte and was also set to be included in the film Jack and Diane alongside Olivia Thirlby but it was said in late 2009 that her supposedly role in Jack and Diane would now be portraying by the actress Alison Pill.

Elle Page starred on the directorial film of Drew Barrymore entitled, Whip It, together with the stars of Juliette Lewis, Marcia Gay Harden and Drew Barrymore herself as well as Kristen Wiig. As of 2010, Page stands as the spokesperson of the Cisco Systems. It was declared on April 2011 that Ellen Page will be joining the stars of Woody Allen, Jesse Eisenberg and Penelope Cruz as well as Aleck Baldwin in the upcoming romantic-comedy film of The Bop Decameron, which has been directed and written by Woody Allen. the film is set to release in 2012.
