The 20-year-old American actress was born on February 10, 1991 in Rhinebeck, Dutchess County in New York. She is the beautiful daughter of the renowned actor Eric Roberts and Kelly Cunningham. In addition, Emma was also the niece of the actresses Julia Roberts and Lisa Roberts Gillan. Roberts entered the Archer School for Girls in Brentwood California for her seventh and eighth grade.

At the young age of nine, Emma Roberts debuted in the 2001 drama film of called, Blow. It was said to be the very first film she has ever auditioned. On the said film, Roberts played the role of Johnny Depp’s daughter named, Kristina Jung. In year 2002, she landed a small role in the family film of Grand Champion, where she portrayed the role of the sister of the lead character Buddy. On the following year, she appeared in the film entitled, Spymate that had a short theatrical release on August 2004.

On the same year, Emma Roberts turned to be a teen idol at the young age of 13. She portrayed the role of Addie Singer in the Nickelodeon series show of Unfabulous, which has debuted in late 2004.the series garnered her various nominations for the Young Artist Award. The series aired for only three seasons form 2004 up to year 2007.

In year 2006, Robert made a big screen comeback when she starred together with Sara Paxton and the recording artist Jojo in the film of Aquamarine. Her performance in the film earned her an award for the Best Supporting Young Actress. Also, the film landed on the number five spot at the box office on its opening weekend. Roberts was also included in the casts of the 2007 film of Nancy Drew. Even though the film was not well received by the critics, it still grossed an amount of seven million in its opening week. On the same year, Robert started on the shooting of her film entitled, Hotel for Dogs.

In year 2009, Emma Roberts appeared together with the star of Jake Austin in Hotel for Dogs. The film was initially based on the book of Lois Duncan. The film landed on the number five at the box office, even though it received mixed reviews from the critics. Roberts also portrayed the lead role in the 2008 film of Wild Child. She also appeared in the indie film called Lymlife, alongside Alec Baldwin. The said film debuted at the Toronto international Film festival in year 2008.

Emma Roberts was also included in the 2010 film of Valentine’s Day, where she portrayed the role f Grace together with her aunt Julia Roberts. She also appeared in the 2010 sports comedy called, The Winning Season. On the same year, Roberts was also included in the casts of the films Twelve and It’s kind of a Funny Story. On the other hand, Roberts appeared in the film adaptation of Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac and in A Great Education. Roberts was recently starred in the romantic film of The Art of Getting by and in the sequel of the film entitled, Scream 4.
