Ever since Fergie, 36, and Josh Duhamel, 38, tied the knot in early 2009, friends and family have been eager for the couple to start a family.  However, the Black Eyed Peas singer said that is still a long way off.  36-year-old Fergie told Us Weekly at Wednesday’s Avon Foundation Awards Gala in New York City that she is not pregnant and there are no specific plans for babies but they do want to have them in the future.

The California native added that her Black Eyed Peas bandmate Taboo or Jaime Luis Gomez in real life is expecting her to be expecting any day by now.  According to her, there are a lot of things that she have not had time to do because she has been so focused on work.  However, that should not be a problem now as the Peas are on a break from making music.  The news of their break only further fueled rumors that Fergie was having a baby.  Fergie told Hollyscoop that she is taking a break adding that they are all taking a break from the Black Eyed Peas and doing their own thing.

In addition, her husband Josh Duhamel is not helping to squash the baby rumors by gushing over his niece.  According to him, his sisters has twins and his little niece sang to him the ABC’s for the first time like she fully sings it with the harmony and everything noting that she is two years old.  When asked if he was expecting his own baby soon, he answered of course adding eventually.

When we asked Fergie how she felt about Josh telling media outlets that he is thinking of having kids she said that she feel fine with that and she thinks that is good.  According to her, she thinks that is really amazing that they were just talking about it in front of everybody.  He said that it is amazing and great that her lovely husband tells all those stories.  Back in May, Duhamel joked that he wanted five kids with Fergie and the singer do agree with that saying that she like that number.

The singer revealed on Allure magazine July issue as well that she has some weight issues saying that she thinks people think that she is pregnant because her weight fluctuates.  According to her, her problem is discipline noting that when she see a Jack in the Box or a Del Taco she will impulsively want it.  She added that she is in a work in progress in that area.  The star even admitted that she gain and lose weight everywhere from the thighs up.

In the meantime, the singer said she is looking forward to spending more time with Duhamel, 38, and their extended family this holiday season.  She said that she is excited to go back to Minot, North Dakota for Josh’s family and to see that part of her new family, to see her little nieces and nephew.  She said that she is also excited to go to Christmas at her mom’s and it is always a nice time reconnect with her family.

Rumors about the disbanding of the group Black eyed peas have been circulating for quite some time since Will.i.am released into the world a tweet that seemingly spelled the end for the group added by Fergie’s announcement at the group’s final U.K. gig proclaiming that that is the last time for a long time that they will be performing together.  The group includes will.i.am, Fergie, apl.de.ap and Taboo.

Sadly, while they are not breaking up, they are taking a break and an indefinite one at that.   The group has done this before and four years later, they came back stronger than ever.  Will.i.am tweeted earlier on July that the BEP will take a break after the beginning just like what they did from the monkey business to the e.n.d but it does not mean that they will stop creating.

Moreover, it is not as if they have not earned it, releasing several albums and embarking on several tours in a row.  In fact, it was while performing on their current tour in Staffordshire, England, earlier this month that the band first sparked rumors of a more permanent split.

At the end of the night, Fergie told the crowd that the show was very special and called it the last time they are going to be in England for a long time.  Fergie said that the group wants you to know that they love all their supporters and thank them for the support they have given from the beginning.  Perhaps sensing that her goodbye could be slightly misconstrued, Fergie quickly tried to clarify for the crowd.  She added that the event is not going to be the last time that people will see them.

In addition, Filipino-American singer Allan Pineda, also known as apl.de.ap of the The Black Eyed Peas, denied rumors that the American hip-hop group is breaking up.  He said that the group always take a break every two album cycles and confirmed that they are not breaking up but is taking a little break.  However, he said he  is not taking a break.  Pineda recently held a mini concert for his educational campaign titled “We Can Be Anything.”  According to him, he feel really privileged and really supported by his countrymen that it keeps him doing what he is doing.

Apl.de.ap said ‘We Can Be Anything’ aims to address the perennial problem of the classroom shortages in the Philippines, from which he was born.  The campaign is made possible through the partnership of the Apl.de.Ap Foundation and the Ninoy and Cory Aquino Foundation.  The Black Eyed Peas performed on October 25 at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds in Pasay City to promote the “We Can Be Anything” campaign.
As for Taboo, he said that they are going on a Hiatus explaining that they are taking a break and a break is not a break up he cleared.  He added that they took a break before but they are family and said that people must not believe the hype.
