Frankie Muniz is an American actor, who is most notable for the portrayal in the TV sitcom of Malcolm in the Middle. He was born on December 5, 1985 in Ridgewood, New Jersey, to Denise and Francisco James Muniz III, a former nurse and a restaurant manager. He was baptized with the real name of Francisco James “Frankie” Muniz IV and has an older sister named Christina. At the young age of eight, Muniz has been discovered at a talent show in the Raleigh, North Carolina, when he portrayed the role of Tiny Tim in a production called, A Christmas Carol. After his parents parted ways, he relocated to Burbank< California, together with his mother. He then appeared in various commercials and subsequently debuted in the TV film called, To Dane With Olivia, in year 1997, which also starred Lou Gossett Jr,. On the same year, Muniz was featured in the CBS Hallmark Hall of Fame presentation of What the Deaf Man Heard.
In year 1999, Muniz portrayed a small role in the American romantic comedy film called, Lost & Found, which starred David Spade and Sophie Marceau. His portrayal on the said film led him to portray the lead role in the TV sitcom of Malcolm in the Middle, where he portrayed the role of Malcolm, together with Jane Kaczmarek and Bryan Cranston as well as Justin Berfield. The said sitcom was premiered by the FOX network on January 2009. For the portrayal of Malcolm, Muniz earned nomination for the Emmy Awards in year 2001 and was a also honored with the Hollywood Reporter, Young Star Award.
