Heather Locklear Taken to California Hospital After a 911 CallHeather Locklear, 50, was rushed to a California hospital on Thursday with what law officials are labeling “a medical emergency.”

TMZ reported that the emergency was a dangerous mix of prescription medication and alcohol. She was taken by ambulance from her home after a call was placed to 911 at 2:05pm local time.  Ventura County Sheriff’s Capt. Mike Aranda told People later Thursday that emergency response personnel responded to a medical emergency call at Ms. Locklear’s residence.  According to him, once they arrived, it was determined that Ms. Locklear needed to be transported to the hospital for further medical attention.  This is the second medical scare for the 50-year-old actress within the past 13 months.  In December of 2010, Locklear landed in the hospital for a brief stay for a bacterial infection.

As previously reported, someone in Heather Locklear’s home just made a 911 call January 12, fearing that Locklear was psychologically unstable and might do something drastic to herself.  A source told RadarOnline.com that the person who made the call was worried about Heather’s state of mind and they were afraid that she was going to harm herself.  The fire department responded to the call and showed up at Locklear’s Westlake home.  The RadarOnline source said that Locklear has not been in her right state of mind since calling off her engagement to Jack Wagner back in November 2011.  The source said that she is distraught over her relationship with Jack, it is on and off and it has upset her lately.  Her sister was seriously worried about Locklear’s well-being and was afraid she would do something to hurt herself.

This is not the first time this has happened to the actress.  Back in 2008, someone who claimed to be her doctor made a 911 call that Locklear was trying to commit suicide at her home.  However, like this time, when the police arrived everything seemed to be fine and they left.  Locklear has been to rehab during the summer of 2008 for psychological issues related to anxiety and depression.  Hopefully, for her sake, this does not happen again.

2011 was not without bumps for the actress either after a split with longtime beau Jack Wagner, once her co-star on “Melrose.”  On November 15, a rep for Locklear revealed the actress had ended the engagement after three months because the pair needed to devote more time to their families.  The couple announced they were engaged in August after four years of on-again off-again dating.  Locklear was previously married to Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora and Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee.  She and Sambora have a 13-year-old daughter, Ava Elizabeth.  Locklear had appeared in public as recently as Tuesday night at a Lakers game, reports TMZ.  Locklear had returned to television in 2009 to revive her role as Amanda Woodward on a reboot of “Melrose Place.” Locklear had proved dependable for weekly watercooler discussion during the series’ original run in the mid-’90s.

Heather Deen Locklear Biography and PicturesBorn September 25, 1961 in Los Angeles, California, Heather Deen Locklear is an American actress best known for her television role as Sammy Jo Carrington on Dynasty, Officer Stacy Sheridan on T.J. Hooker, Amanda Woodward on Melrose Place, and Caitlin Moore on Spin City.

The youngest of four sisters, Heather is the daughter of William Robert, the Dean of the School of Engineering at UCLU (Heather’s former school), and Diane, an administrative assistant at Disney.  Raised in Thousand Oaks, California, she graduated from Newbury Park High School.  She is also of part Lumbee (Native American) descent.  The blue-eyed blonde originally attended UCLA as a psychology major, when a casting director caught eye of the all-American beauty and encouraged her to take a commercial acting class. By the end of her freshman year, she began to do guest TV spots, and decided to pursue acting full-time.

She made her earliest screen appearances in the early 1980s with small roles in episodes of ChiPs, 240-Robert, and Eight Is Enough, before beginning a long-term collaboration with Aaron Spelling.  Spelling cast her in the role Sammy Jo Dean during the second season of his TV series Dynasty, and the following year he cast her in the cop show T.J. Hooker with William Shatner.  Until the mid 1980s, Locklear appeared as a series regular on T.J. Hooker, while making semi-regular appearances on Dynasty.  She was a full-time cast member on Dynasty from 1985 until its cancellation in 1989.  In 1991, the cast of Dynasty (including Locklear) reconvened for the four-hour mini-series Dynasty: The Reunion.

‘Firestarter’ (1984), a horror film starring Drew Barrymore, was Locklear’s big screen debut.  Then followed the television movie, ‘City Killer’ (1984).  In 1985, Heather shed her wholesome image, for all the world to see, when she married her rock ‘n’ roll boyfriend, Motley Crue drummer, Tommy Lee (pre-Pamela Anderson).  Next up was more television work, with ‘T.J. Hooker: Blood Sport’ (1986).  Art mimicked life when Locklear played the lead in the made-for-television movie ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll Mom’ (1988).  Things seemed to be going really well but her next big screen role, of Abby Arcane in ‘The Return of the Swamp Thing’ (1989), brought her a Razzie Award, in 1990, for Worst Actress in Film.  Locklear’s role in ‘The Big Slice’ (1991) went by without much fanfare.

In 1993, she played her best known role, that of scheming vixen Amanda Woodward on Aaron Spelling’s drama series Melrose Place, which was a spin-off of Beverly Hills, 90210.  Spelling originally signed Locklear for a limited four-episode run, the first of which aired on January 27, 1993.  Locklear became a full-time cast member (though she continued to be billed as “Special Guest Star” in the opening credits) until its cancellation in 1999.  During this time, Locklear guest-starred in some big screen films: ‘Wayne’s World 2′ (1993), as Wayne and Garth’s most ‘schwingable babe’, and then appeared in an un-credited role in ‘The First Wives Club’ (1996).  It was also to be the end of her marriage to Tommy Lee, and they divorced on 16 August 1993, with no children.  Still the ‘rock chick’ at heart, a year later, after a whirlwind romance, Locklear married Bon Jovi guitarist, Richie Sambora (post-Cher).  They jetted off to Paris and were married on 17 December 1994. They have a daughter, Ava Elizabeth, born 4 October 1997.  Locklear filed for divorce from Sambora in February 2006.  The following month Sambora filed for joint custody of their daughter and enforcement of a prenuptial agreement.  Their divorce was finalized in April 2007.

Heather Locklear Call off Engagement to Jack WagnerHeather Locklear and Jack Wagner have called off their engagement.  Heather Locklear showed up to the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 premiere without her fiancé on her arm and sans engagement ring.  The blonde bombshell announced she was going to marry her Melrose Place co-star Jack Wagner three months ago but just recently, a spokesperson for the actress told Us Magazine that Jack and Heather are no longer engaged after four years of dating.

Wagner and the actress appeared on Fox’s long-running drama Melrose Place during the 1990s as beloved characters Dr. Peter Burns and Amanda Woodward. Their on-screen counterparts eventually married on the show.  According to Locklear’s publicist, Cece York, the couple did not specify why the wedding was off – let alone whether they are still in a relationship.  A rep for Wagner was unavailable for comment.  The duo, who started dating in 2007, announced their engagement in August.

Had the duo gone through with the nuptials, it would have have marked the third marriage for Locklear and the second for Wagner.  She was hitched for seven years to Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee before divorcing in 1993. She subsequently tied the knot with Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora. The two divorced in 2010 and share custody of their 14-year-old daughter, Ava.  Wagner, who played Dr. Peter Burns for five seasons on Fox’s prime-time soap and now works on daytime’s The Bold and the Beautiful, was previously married to his former General Hospital costar Kristina Wagner, with whom he has two teenage sons. They filed for divorce twice but the latter attempt did not stick until 2006.

The past few years have been turbulent ones for Locklear.  Last year she was arrested for a hit-and-run accident, which she was later cleared for.  She hit a No Parking sign in Ventura County, California.  In 2008, the actress entered rehab for anxiety and depression.  A call was made by someone claiming to be her doctor, saying that Locklear was trying to commit suicide.  Her agent confirmed that Heather was suffering from anxiety and depression.  She stayed at the facility for four weeks before she returned home.

Meanwhile, Heather’s pal, Denise Richards, is back on with Sambora.  The reports have been circulating for a couple of weeks now, and when Sambora hit a red carpet event last week, he was asked about his rekindled romance with Richards.  According to the rocker, things are good and he is very happy.

Locklear has a daughter with Sambora, Ava, who is fourteen.  Locklear told People mag that she always say she wanted to come back as Ava Sambora noting that she has such confidence.  The admiration is mutual as the teen said of her mom that she is really, really funny and even if she does not know someone she can click them like that.  Locklear is currently working on The Assistants, a CBS comedy.  The show focuses on a group of young assistants who work for a celebrity power couple.
