Jason Biggs is American actor, who is most notable for the portrayal of Jim Levenstein in the comedy film of American Pie. He was born on May 12, 1978 in Pompton Plains, New Jersey, to Angela and Gay Biggs, a nurse and a shipping company manager. He was baptized with the real name of Jason Matthew Biggs. On the other hand, Biggs grew up in Hasbrouck Heights in New Jersey, where he entered the Hasbrouck Heights High School. He use to play tennis and wrestling when he was still in high school. In year 2008, Biggs got engaged with his fellow star, Jenny Mollen, and they tied the knot on April of the same year.
At the young age of five, Jason Biggs started his professional acting career. In year 1992, he had his TV debut with the short lived FOX network series entitled, Drexell’s Class. Biggs also had a one-off HBO special called, The Fotis Savastakis Story. However, it was said that show was never aired because of licensing problem. On the same year, he made his debut on Broadway in the production called, Conversations with My Father. He then appeared soap opera entitled, As the World Turns, which garnered him a nomination for the Best Younger Actor at the daytime Emmy Awards.
Moreover, Biggs entered the New York University shortly for the year, 1996 up to the year 1997. However, he left the said school for him to continue his career on acting. He then appeared in the 1997 TV series of Camp Stories. He subsequently included in the casts of the comedy film of American Pie, where he portrayed the role of James “Jim” Levenstein. He then reprised the role on the other two sequels of the said film. He then starred in the romantic comedy film entitled, Loser, which also includes the stars of Mena Suvari and Greh Kinnear.
Furthermore, Biggs portrayed the role of an Orthodox Jew in the comedy of Daniel Goldfarb called, Modern Orthodox in year 2004 up to year 2005 season at Dodger Stages theater in New York City. In year 2006, Biggs appeared on the MTB reality show called, Blowin’ UP, together with Jamie Kennedy and Stu Stone. In year 2008, Biggs made his return on stage with the production of Howard Korder entitled, Boys’ Life, which was held at New York City’s Second Stage Theatre. In addition, Biggs also starred in the action comedy film of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, where he appeared as himself, alongside Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith as well as Shannon Elizabeth and Will Ferrell. He then appeared in various films like Texas Rangers and in Scary Movie as well as in Over Her Dead Body, where he portrayed the role of Dan Sianidis. On the other hand, Biggs will be reprising his role as Jim in the upcoming American Reunion, which is set to hit the big screen on April 6, 2012.
