Jennifer Shrader Lawrence also known as Jennifer Lawrence was born on August 15, 1990 in Louisville Kentucky to Karen and Gary Lawrence and has two older brothers, Ben and Blaine. The 20-year-old American film and TV actress was discovered in New York City at the very young age of 14. Prior to her acting career, she was engaged in cheer-leading, in field hockey softball and modeling, unfortunately none of those expressed passion for her.

The beautiful Jennifer Lawrence had already an experience at the very young age because when she was at the age of 14, she was involved in some church plays and by then, she came up into a decision to pursue a acting career, convincing her parents to take her to New York City to search for a talent agent. Even though Jennifer Lawrence does not have any experience or even training, she earned high honors from the agency where she auditioned. In addition, she finished her high school days two years early, for her to start her own acting job.

In year 2008, she was included in the casts of the 2008 film called, The Burning Plain, a directorial debut of Guillermo Arriaga. She joined by the stars of Charlize and Kim Basinger. Her portrayal on the said film, garnered her Marcello Mastroianni Award for the category of best young emerging actor/actress in the Venice Film Festival. Also, she became one of the lead stars of the comedy sitcom of TBS entitled, The Bill Engvall Show, portraying the role of Lauren Pearson. The said sitcom was penned down and created by none other than Bill Engvall together with Michael Leeson. After being on screen for three seasons, the show has been pulled out in year 2009.

Jennifer Lawrence has already starred in several films, which also included her key role on The Poker House of Lori Petty, together with Selma Blair and Bokeem Woodbine. She also appeared on the 2008 drama film called, Garden Party. On the other hand, she was also featured in one of the music videos of the Parachute for the song entitled ‘The Mess I Made’, which included on the band’s album.

In year 2010, she was honored for the best picture award at the Sundance Film Festival for portraying the lead role in film called, ‘Winter’s Bone’ and it was said to be her break-through performance of her. On the following year, Lawrence received an Oscar nomination for the Best Actress from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

She also earned a spot on the Jodie Foster’s film of The Beaver, which also starred Jodie Foster and Mel Gibson. Lawrence also appeared in the 2011 X-Men: First Class film, where she portrayed the shape-shifting villain role of Mystique. In addition, Jennifer Lawrence is set to star on the upcoming adaptation film of Hunger Games, where she will be portraying the role of Katniss Everdeen. The film was originally based the very first book in the Hunger Games Trilogy of Suzzane Collins and is set to release in 2012.
