Jennifer Morrison is an American actress and film producer, who is most notable for the portrayal of Dr. Alison Cameron in the TV series of House. She was born on April 12, 1979 in Chicago, Illinois, to David L. Morrison and Judy Morison, a music teacher and a former teacher. She was baptized with the real name of Jennifer Marie Morrison and has a older sister named Julia and a brother named Daniel. She graduated from the Prospect high School in year 1997. She also entered the Loyola University Chicago, where she took major in Theater and minored in English. She graduated on the said school in year 2000. Morrison also entered the Steppenwolf Theater Company before she relocated to Los Angeles for her to continue a film and TV career.
Morrison began her professional career as a child model, appearing in print advertisements for the JCPenney and the Montgomery Ward as well as for the commercials of Rice Krispies and Mondo. In year 1992, she Morrison appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated for the kids, together with Michael Jordan. At the young age of fifteen, Morrison made her film debut when she portrayed the role of the daughter of Richard Gere and Sharon Stone in the film entitled, Intersection. She then appeared in thriller film of Stir of Echoes, where she portrayed the role of Samantha Kozac, together with Kevin Bacon and Kathryn Erbe in year 1999.
In year 2000, Morrison portrayed the lead role Amy Mayfield in the slasher film called, Urban Legends: Final Cut. In year 2003, she also appeared in the film of Grind, together with Adam Brody. Moreover, she starred together with Ben Affleck and James Gandolfini in the comedy film called, Surviving Christmas. In year 2005, Morrison appeared in the film entitled, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, which starred Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. On the other hand, Morrison also appeared in various TV shows such as the TV series of Touched by an Angel and Dawson’s Creek. She then portrayed the role of Dr. Allison Cameron on the TV series of House in year 2004, together with Hugh Laurie.
In year 2006, Morrison stared and produced the independent film entitled, Flourish. She is also one of the producers of the musical series show of Glee, during its draft. On the following year, she portrayed the role of Kirce James in the computer game called, Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars. In year 2009, Morrison made her come back on the big screen, portraying the role of Winoma in the film of J. J. Abrams entitled, Star Trek. On the following year, she appeared together with Nick Nolte and Tom Hardy in the film called, Warrior. In September 2011, Morrison will be portraying the lead role of Emma Swan in the ABC’s Once Upon a Time.
