The American actor-comedian, producer and screenwriter, was born on December 20, 1983 in Mill Valley, California and was baptized with the name of Jonah Hill Feldstein. He was the son of Richard, who is the tour accountant of the Guns N’ Roses band and he was raised Jewish and had a Bar Mitzvah. He entered The Center for Early Education and the Brentwood School and then Crossroads School in Santa Monica. After completing his High School years, Hill left California for him to attend The New School, where he studied acting.

While he was in his college years, Hill began writing his own plays and performing them in the Black and White bar located at East Village neighborhood of New York City. His plays led him to realize that his true passion was to act in front of the cameras. He became friends with the children of Dustin Hoffman, Rebecca and Jake. They were the ones who introduced him to their father. In addition, the elder Hoffman, told him to audition for a role in the 2004 comedy film of I Heart Huckabees, in which Hill made his film debut.

Jonah Hill also made an appearance on the directorial film of Judd Apatow called, The 40-Year-Old Virgin. His performance on the said film, resulted him to star in a larger supporting role in the other Apatow’s film called, Knocked Up. He also included as one of the casts of the 2006 film of Click, where he portrayed the role of the 17-year-old, Ben Newman. also, he was one of the lead roles on the 2007 film of Superbad and in film called Get Him to the Greek in year 2010, both of the said film has been produced by Judd Apatow.

Hill also portrayed the role of “RA Guy” on the first season of the Campus Ladies sitcom of the Oxygen Network. He also appeared as a guest star in one of the episodes of the series, Clark and Michael. On the other hand, Jonah Hill was set to host the November 17, 2007 episode of the Saturday Night Live, which is supposed to feature the musical guest, Kid Rock, but the show was canceled because of the reason that the Writers Guild of America strike that lasted to February 2008. However, Hill still hosted the show on March 2008 with the guest star, Mariah Carey.

Jonah Hill made an appearance in one of the episodes of the American TV series, Reno 911, which has been broadcasted in late April 2009. He was reportedly in talks to become a part of the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, as Shia LaBeouf’s sidekick. He was also starred in the 2009 American drama film of Funny People, together with Adam Sandler and Eric Bana as well as Seth Rogen. The comedy film was said to be the third directorial film of Judd Apatow.

In addition, Jonah Hill was also appeared in one of the episodes of the Simpsons called, Pranks and Greens, where he portrayed the role of Andy Hamilton, an immature man who was called as the best prankster in Springfield Elementary School.
