The 40-year-old American actor was born on June 20, 1971 in Little Rock Arkansas to Michelle and Don Maurer, a nurse midwife and an ER Doctor. He was baptized with the name of Joshua Lucas Easy Dent Maurer. He grew up on travelling the South together with his hippie activists’ mother and father. He has younger siblings, two sisters and brother named, Devin. By the young age of 13, Lucas has already lived for almost 30 different places, which also includes the Isle of Palms and the Sullivan’s Island, South Carolina. In addition, Josh Lucas entered the Kopachuck Middle School and graduated from the Gig Harbor High School in year 1989. Lucas did not pursue his college for him to focus on his acting profession.
At the young age of 19, Josh Lucas started his career, having relocated to Hollywood after finishing his High School year. Lucas appeared on TV as a guest star for several sitcoms in his early twenties, which also includes the TV series of Fox Network called, True Colors and in Parker Lewis Can’t Lose. He also appeared as a guest star on the family drama of Life Goes On as well in the private-eye show of CBS Network called, Jake and the Fatman.
Some of his other projects are the thriller film of Child of Darkness, Child of Light, which is an adaptation of the novel of James Patterson called, Virgin, a story of two catholic student who surprisingly find themselves pregnant it a mysterious ad weird condition. His appearance on the film was followed by collaborating with the executive producer Steven Spielberg and the actor Clive Owen in the TV film entitled, Class ’61, where he portrayed the role of George Armstrong.
Josh Lucas debuted in the Frank Marshall’s film entitled, Alive. After he made an appearance in the comedy of Patrick Swayze called, Father Hood, Lucas moved to Australia for him to portray the role of Luke McGregor, together with Andrew Clarke and Guy Pearce in the initial season of the Australian TV series of Snowy River: The McGregor Saga. Lucas portrayed the role of an American businessman in the romantic-comedy drama film of Jule Gilfillan called, Restless. He also made an appearance in an Off Broadway production of Terrence McNally’s most talked play of Corpus Christi, which is said to be a re-telling of the Passion. On the said play, Lucas portrayed the role of Judas. Lucas has already appeared in various films such as, American Psycho, Session 9 and Wight of Water as well in the films of When Strangers Appear and You can Count on Me.
In year 2010, Lucas was included in the casts of the thriller film of Ander Anderson called, Stolen, together with Rhona Mitra and Jon Hamm. On the same year, Lucas also appeared in the film of Shadows ad Lies together with James Franco and Julianne Nicolson.
