Julia Roberts Graces Cover of Vanity Fair April 2012Julia Roberts takes the cover of Vanity Fair‘s April 2012 issue, on newsstands in New York and L.A. on February 29. She is no stranger to the fame game. In fact, she is one of Hollywood’s most beloved and long-standing stars. However, the culture of being a celebrity has changed by the leaps and bounds since she first came on the scene. The Mirror Mirror actress looks beautiful on her cover shot and talks about the challenges facing young actors and actresses today, and how she’s shielding her own family from her world-famous persona.

Roberts said that it is too bad that young actors coming up now will never get that kind of experience as she remembers how people encouraged her to get her face out there when she was starting out. According to her, the business is so different and you can never be that new girl that has that moment of “where’d she come from?” She added that there is the express elevator and there’s rehab. The actress said that it is so awful explaining that nobody gets a fair trial-and-error period that everybody deserves and everybody needs.

Though she has mastered the art of being a movie star, these days the actress’ biggest role is being mom to her three children, twins Hazel and Finn, 7, and Henry, 4, with husband Daniel Moder. Roberts may be one of the world’s most recognizable faces, but she revealed that her fame is still lost on her kids. She told Vanity Fair that she was once on a crowded street and somebody noticed her and then another person noticed. She continued saying that somebody said as they were walking past that she us Julia Roberts. The actress then said that they all just kind of kept going and then Finn said, that her mom is Julia Robinson, noting that what gives you perspective. She said that it could be Robinson, it could be Johnson, because it has nothing to do with her as a person.

On wanting to return to the stage, the actress said that it is like childbirth, you do not know until you have done it but you get a little bit away from it and you go confirming that she of course wants to do it again. According to her, she get sucked back into doing theater, because it is really thrilling and it does challenge her as an actor in really unique ways. She added that she loves the medium of film noting that she loves that environment but it is just different.

Roberts also talked about getting advice from Meryl Streep’s daughter Grace Gummer about raising kids as a celebrity. According to her, Grace comes up and said that it is so sweet seeing all her kids on the set adding that it reminds her of when she was little and she would go see her mom at work. Roberts asked Grace if she was happy and suddenly she thought that there is a source of information. She remember asking Grace when old was she when she realized that her mom was Meryl Streep and she answered that she thinks she was probably nine when she put that all together. Roberts asked if she was cool with it and Grace answered yes noting that it was fine, there was no trauma. Roberts then said that story was hopeful.

Julia Roberts is an American actress, who is most notable for the portrayal in the romantic comedy film of Pretty Woman, was born on October 28, 1967 in Atlanta, Georgia, to Betty Lou and Walter Grady Roberts. Roberts has the combinations of English, Scottish, Irish and Welsh as well as German and Swedish descent. Both of her parents were Baptist and Catholic and she was raised as a Roman Catholic. She has a brother named Eric Roberts, who is also an actor and her sister named Lisa Roberts Gillan, who is an actress like her. She also has a niece named Emma Roberts, who is an actress. While she was still attending school, she played the instrument of clarinet in the band, when she was still a child. After she graduated from the Smyrna’s High School, she she moved to New York to join her siblings and had an acting career. She subsequently signed with the Clack modeling agency and attended an acting classes.

On the other hand Julia Roberts made her film debut, when she was include din the casts of the 1988 drama film called, Satisfaction, where she portrayed the role of Daryle. However her first TV appearance was in the series show of Crime Story, where she portrayed the role of a juvenile rape victim. In year 1998, Roberts appeared in the independent film of Mystic Pizza. On the same year, she had a role on the final season on the series of Miami Vice. She then portrayed the role of Shelby Eatenton Latcherie in the comedy drama film of Steel Magnolias, which also includes the stars of Daryl, Hannah, Olympia Dukakis and Dolly Parton as well as Sally Field and Shirley MacLaine. The film earned the first nomination for Roberts.

Julia Roberts turned to be a well known artist, when she starred together with Richard Gere in the 1990 romantic comedy film entitled, Pretty Woman. Her portrayal on the said film garnered her second Oscar nomination for the award for the Best Actress. In early 1993, Roberts became the subject of the People magazine cover story asking, What Happened to Julia Roberts. In year 1995, she appeared in the season 2 of the series show of Friends and in 1999, she starred in the film of Stepmom, which also starred Susan Sarandon. In year 2001, she received as Academy Award for the Best Actress, for her portrayal for the role of Erin Brockovich.

On the same year, Roberts portrayed the lead role in the comedy film of The Mexican, alongside Brad Pitt. In year 2005 she was featured in the music video for the single called, Dreamgirl, of the Dave Matthew Band. In year 2007, Roberts appeared together with Tom Hanks and Philip Seymour Hoffman in the biographical comedy drama film of Charlie Wilsons’ War. In year 2010, she was included in the casts of the romantic comedy film of The Valentine’s Day, together with Bradley Cooper. on the other hand, Roberts recently starred together with Tom Hanks in the 2011 romantic comedy film of Larry Crowe.
