The 67-year-old Spanish singer was born on September 23, 1943 In Madrid to Julio Iglesias Pug and Maria Del Rosario Cueva Perigat. He was baptized with the real name of Julio Jose Iglesias de la Cueva but he was famously known as Julio Iglesias. He studied law in Madrid and became a goalkeeper for one of Real Madrid’s football team. After being involved in a car accident, he traveled to the United Kingdom for him to study the English language; he first attended the Ramsgate and then the Bell Education Trust’s Language School in Cambridge. He tied the knot in year 1971 with the Filipino journalist named Isabel Preysler, where he had the children, Chabeli Iglesias, Julio Iglesias Jr. and Enrique Iglesias Jr. however, their marriage has been annulled in 1979. He then married Miranda Rijnsburger, after having 20 years of relationship.
Julio Iglesias earned the Benidorm International Song Festival, which is said to be a songwriter event held in Spain in the year 1968, with the song entitled, LA vida sugueIgual, which stands for Life Continues Just The Same. The song was used in the film entitled, La vida sugueIgual, which follows the life of Iglesias. After his annulment with his former wife, Preysler, Iglesias relocated to Miami, Florida in the United Stated, where he signed a contract with the CBS International. He then began performing with different languages like English, French and Portuguese as well as German and more when it comes to his music.
He released his album entitled, De Nina a Mujer in year 1981, where it was his first English-language hit. He also released an ensemble called, Julio in year 1983. On the following year, Julio Iglesias released his album called, 1100 Bel Air Place, the album that raised him to fame. He and Miranda Rijnsburger were both recorded a Christmas song entitled, Silent Night, which was launched through the official site of the singer. In year 2008, Iglesias introduced his album called, Romantic classic across the world an n the following year, he plans to have a world tour as a celebration for his forty years in the world of music. In year 2010, Iglesias pursued to trave across the glove with his very own Starry Night World tour and for him to prolmote the 42 years of existence of his career. On the other hand, it was reported that he will launched his studio album entitled, umero 1, in March 2011.
