Kanye Omari West was very well-known being a singer, rapper and record producer in the United States. He first climbed to fame as a producer for Roc-A-Fella Records, where he finally attained credit for his work on the album of Jay-Z entitled The Blueprint, as well as hit singles for singer artists, such as Janet Jackson, Ludacris and Alicia Keys.
West style of production was originally employed pitched-up samples of vocal from soul songs integrated with his own instruments and drums. Still, succeeding productions saw him widening his musical range and conveying authorities around ‘70s, alternative, classical music, trip-hop, arena rock, electronica, synth-pop, folk and baroque pop.
When it comes to his album, West released in 2004 his first album entitled The College Dropout. In 2005, his second album entitled Late Registration was released. The album Graduation was released in 2007, while the album 808s & Heartbreak was released in 2008. His album, which entitled Good Morning Good Night: Dawn, was released in 2009 as well as Good Morning Good Night: Dusk.
He was born on June 8, 1977 at Atlanta, Georgia. West parents were Ray West, an ex-Black Panther and now a Christian Counselor, and Dr. Donda West, a professor in English at Clark Atlanta University. At the age of three, his parents separated and his mother relocated to Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from Polaris High School and finished one-year of art school at Chicago State University.
After he spent his time in working and rapping with local artist, he moved in 2001 in New York to pursue his career for full time. Jay-Z, a respected rapper, hired West to make songs for his album entitled The Blueprint, which sold over 420,000 copies in its first week alone. West kept on producing for a few of artists such as Beyonce and rapper Ludacris.
As he was serving as a producer to some artitsts, he cut his own demo and started to shop it around. In 2002, He also signed an agreement with Roc-A-Fella Records and started to record in the studio. He also met an accident that left him with a fractured jaw. However, even if his jaw was fractured he still continues to record in the studio to finish his debut release of The Colege Dropout.
This album sold 2.6 million copies and gave him an award of Best Rap Album in Grammy. He also matched that accomplishment with his album Late Registration in 2005 and his album Graduation in 2007.
