Kat Dennings is an American actress, who earned much fame when she portrayed the role of Sarah Stewart in the TV series entitled, Raising Dead. She was born on June 13, 1985 in Bryn Mawr, to Ellen Judith Litwack and Gerald J. Litwack, a poet and a molecular pharmacologist. She was baptized with the real name of Katherine Litwack. Dennings is the youngest of five siblings, which also includes her older brother named Geoffrey S. Litwack. Dennings took home schooling and only attend a tradition school at the Friend’s Central School. at the young age of 14, she graduated from high school. in year 2002, Dennings together with her family relocated to Los Angeles, California for her to give her full time in acting.  On the other hand, Dennings had her start on acting when she appeared in an ad for potato chips when she was still a child.

She then appeared in TV when she had a role in one of the HBO’s TV series called, Sex and the City in year 2000. She then began on the TV series called, Raising Dad form year 2001 until 2002, where she portrayed the role of Sarah. Also, in year 2002, she appeared in the Disney film entitled, The Scream Team, together with Mark Rendall. Dennings also appeared in five of the episodes of the TV series of The WB called, Everwood. However, her role has been recast to Nora Zehetner. She then continued on appearing in various TV shows like in the TV series of Without Trace and on Less Than Perfect in year 2003. She then included in the casts of a pilot for the CBS’ Practical Magic. She also appeared as a guest star in the TV series of CSI: NY, where she portrayed the role of Sarah Endecott. In year 2004, Dennings had her feature film debut in the musical drama film called, Raise Your Voice, where she portrayed the role of Sloane alongside Hilary Duff.

On the following year, she had a supporting role in the comedy film of The 40-year-Old Virgin as well as in the film of Down in the Valley. In year 2006, Dennings portrayed the role of Molly Fuller in the crime comedy film of Big Momma’s House 2, which starred Martin Lawrence. Dennings was also included in the ensemble of the comedy-drama film called, Charlie Bartlett, where she portrayed the lead role of Susan Gardner. On the same year, she appeared in the film of The House Bunny, together with Anna Faris and Colin Hanks. Also, in year 2008, Dennings starred in the romantic film of Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist. Her portrayal on the film earned her a nomination for an International Press Academy’s Satellite Awardfor Best Actress. On the following year, she appeared in the film called, The Answer Man. In year 2010, she appeared as Kat in the film of Defendor. In addition, Dennings was also included in the casts of the 2011 superhero film entitled, Thor, where she portrayed the role of Darcy Lewis.
