Keira Knightley is an English actress and model, who was born on March 26, 1985 in Teddington, London, England, to Sharman MacDonal and Will Knightley, an award winning playwright and a theater and TV actor. It was said that her father is of English ancestry, while her mother is in Scottish ancestry. Keira has an older brother named, Caleb, who live in Richmond. She entered the Stanley Junior School and the Teddington School as well as the school of the Esher College. At the young age of six, she was diagnosed for having dyslexia. However, Keira succeed in school and was also allowed to have a talent coach and keep an acting career.

In late 1990s Keira Knightley has already appeared in various films before he was included in the cats of the 1999 science fiction film of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. In year 2001, Knightley debuted for her first ever starring role in the 2001 TV film of Princess of Thieves. She then appeared in the thriller film called, the Hole. It was said that her biggest financial hit film as of now is the box office hit film of the Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, which was released in July.

In year 2007, Knightley starred in three major movies, which also includes the film of Silk, a film adaptation of the book of Alessandro Baricco, Atonement, which also starred James McAvoy, Vanessa Redgrave and Brenda Blethyn. She was also included in the casts on the other installment of Pirates of the Caribbean entitled, Pirates of the Caribbean: AT World’s End. On the other hand, Knightley has also appeared in the 2009 drama film of Last Night, which also includes the star of Eva Mendes and Sam Worthington. In addition, she is currently filming the directorial film of David Cronenberg entitled, A Dangerous Method, where is portrays the role of Sabina Spielrein. She is also set to appear in The Emperor’s Children. She will also star in the upcoming film of London Boulevard, together with Colin Faremm.
