The 29-year-old American singer actress was born Kirsten Caroline Dunst on April 30, 1982 in Point Pleasant, New Jersey, Inez and Klaus Dunst, an artist and a medical services executive. She has the combination of German and Swedish descent. Dunst lived in the Brick Township, New Jersey, until the age of six and educated at Ranney School. She relocated together with her mother and brother toe Los Angeles, California, in year 1991, where she entered the Laurel Hall Day School and in year 1995, her mother filed a divorce against his father. On the following year, she attended the Notre Dame catholic school in Los Angeles. After completing her term on the said school, Dunst pursued her acting career that she started when she was at the age of eight. When she was still a teenager, Dunst found it hard to deal with her rising fame and their comes a time that she blamed her mother for pursuing her to enter the world of showbiz but she then admitted that her mother had always had a good intentions for her.
At the young age of three, she started as a child fashion model in various TV commercials. She then signed with the Ford Models as well as Elite Model Management. At the young age of eight, Dunst made her film debut with Woody Allen’s Oedipus Wrecks. She then earned a spot in the 1990 film adaptation of The Bonfire of the Vanities, where she portrayed the role of the daughter of Tom Hanks. In year 1993, she portrayed the role of Hedril on one of the episodes of the season seven of the TV series of the Star Trek: The Next Generation. Dunst earned much fame when she was included in the drama and horror film of Interview with the Vampire, where she portrayed the role of child vampire named Claudia. The film also includes the stars of Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt. The film garnered her MTV Movie Award for the category for the Best Breakthrough Performance and the Saturn Award for the Best Young Actress as well as nomination for the Golden Globe Award.
In year 1999, Dunst appeared together with Michelle Williams in the comedy film of Dick as well in the independent film of The Virgin Suicides, where she portrayed the role of Lux Lisbon. She then portrayed the lead role in the film of Bring it On. In year 2002, she portrayed the lead female role in the box office hit film series of Spider-Man, together with Tobey McGuire, who portrayed the role of Spider-Man. In year 2006, Dunst portrayed the title role in the biographical film of Marie Antoinette. In year 2010, she starred together with Ryan Gosling in the romantic drama film of All Good Things. She then starred in the film of Melancholia, which also includes the stars of Charlotte Gainsburg and Kiefer Sutherland as well as Charlotte Rampling. As of May 2011, Kirsten Dunst is set to star in the upcoming comedy film entitled, Bachelorette, which was produced by Will Ferrell as well as Adam McKay.
