The American musician and singer song-writer was born on June 21, 1985 at Jacksonville, Arkansas and was the elder of two sons of Kimberly and Neil Allen. he baptized with name of Kristopher Neil ‘Kris’ Allen. He has a brother named Daniel, a college Cheer-leading coach. Allen was most notable on winning the title of the eight season of the renowned reality show called, American Idol.

He was raised Christian and also worked as an assistant music director at the New Life Church in Conway, Arkansas and in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was also engaged in some Christian Missionary work all over the world, which also includes the places of Burma, Morocco and Mozambique as well as South Africa, Spain and Thailand,

Allen’s passion to music came up when he was just young. When he was just on his elementary school, he already knew how to play the viola and even went on to play such kind of instruments in the Mills University Studies High School orchestra, in time, he became one of the musicians in the Arkansas all-state orchestra. In addition, at the very young age of 13, Kris Allen educated himself to play the guitar as well as the piano. Before he was discovered in a reality show, Allen was already performing in public for several years.

After finishing his high school, Allen moved to Conway, Arkansas, to enter the University of Central Arkansas. He became a business major student and a one of the members of the Chi Alpha Campus ministries. However, Allen soon left the school for him to concentrate in music. He has a plan to return in school and continue his unfinished course bit he ends up auditioning to the American Idol together with his brother and his friend. He stated before that if he will not make it to the show, he will be returning to school and finish his business degree.

Kris Allen competing in American Idol: Allen auditioned for the eight season of the said reality show together with his brother who did make it to Hollywood and the American Musician, Cale Mills, whom his friend since college. Allen passed the audition for the show and sang his heart all the way through the competition. He even performed with various instruments such as acoustic and electric guitar as well as the keyboard and the Piano.

On May 20, 2009 Kris Allen was announced as the eight season winner of the American Idol, he became the first married finalist to win the crown for the show. Allen said to be the sixth winning contestants came from the Southern United States. His coronation song entitled, No Boundaries and his own rendition of the song called, Heartless, were both included on the Top 20 Billboard Hot 100 Chart. On November 2009, he released his self-titled album, which landed on the 11th spot of the U.S Billboard 200.

In his personal life, October 2008, Kris Allen tied the knot with her high school sweetheart girlfriend, Katy ‘Connell. The dating since he was on his junior year in high School.
