Laura Dern is an American actress, who is most notable for the portrayal of Rose in the film of Rambling Rose. She was born on February 10, 1967 in Los Angeles, California, to Bruce Dern and Diane Ladd, an actor and an actress. Dern is the great-granddaughter of the previous Utah governor and Secretary of War George Dern, who is also a poet and writer. Librarian of Congress Archibald MacLeish is also her great-uncle. On the other hand, Dern’s film debut occurred when she had an appearance in one of the film of her mother entitled, White Lightning. Also, she had an appearance in Alice Doesn’t Live here Anymore, which is said to be the signature role of her mother.
Moreover, amid of year 1980, Dern earned such prominence when she appeared in the films of Mask, Wild at Heart and in Blue Velvet, where she portrayed the role of Sandy Williams. In year 1992, Dern as well as her mother became the became the first mother and daughter to earned nomination for an Academy Award for the portrayal in the film of Rambling Rose. Dern also appeared as Dr. Ellie Sattler in the 1993 hit film of Jurassic Park. On the same year, she was included by Clint Eastwood in the casts of the film called, A Perfect World. In year 1995, she portrayed the role of Ruth in the film entitled, Citizen Ruth, which also includes the stars of Swoosie Kurtz and Kurtwood Smith as well as Kelly Preston.
