LeAnn Rimes is an American country singer, who was born on August 28, 1982 in Pearl, Mississippi, to Belinda Butler Rimes and Wibur Rimes. She together with her family moved to Garland, Texas, when she was at the age of six. At the young age of two, Rimes started to sing. She was then enrolled to a vocal and dance training and at the age of five she began on performing at local talent shows. She subsequently started her career in musical theater, performing in a production in Dallas, Texas, called, A Christmas Carol. At the young age of nine, Rimes became an experienced singer. She then toured with her father nationally and also became a regular performer of a cappella versions of The Star Spangled banner at the opening ceremonies of the Dallas Cowboys football games. Rime was discovered by the Dallas disc jockey and the record promoter, Bill Mack. He was impressed by the vocal skills of Rimes and the following three years, Mack tried to bring Rimed to the mainstream level. The plan of Mack revolves around the success of his self-written composition of Blue, which he had penned down in early 60s.
Rimes subsequently signed with the Curb, she re-recorded a new rendition of Blue, which will be released on her debut studio album on the label. In year 1996, the new rendition of Blue has been released as a single, landed on the number 10 spot of the Billboard Country Chart. On the same year, her album called, Blue, has been launched, having a total of 123,000 sold copies and took the top spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart. On the following year, Rimes released a collection of previously recorded material under the Nor Va Jak Label called, Unchained Melody: The Early Years. On the same year, she released her follow-up studio album to Blue entitled, You Light up My Life: Inspirational Songs.
In year 1999, Rimes released her fourth studio album for Curb called, LeAnn Rimes, which is a collection of country standards and in 2001, she released her sixth studio album called, I Need You, which landed on the top spot in the Top Country Albums chart and on the 10th spot at the Billboard 200. On the other hand, she re-released her I Need You Album in year 2002, having 9 songs, which is originally released on the album. In year 2004, Rimes released a Greatest Hits collection. On the following year, she released her 7th studio album called, This Woman, and in year 2006, she released her studio album called, Whatever We Wanna, which was followed by her 2007 album of Family. On the other hand, it was announced on May 2010 that the newest studio album of Rimes would be a cover album of country sings called, Lady and Gentlemen. Based on the official website of her, Rimes is planning to rerecord her hit single of Blue for her new album. On the same year, she released her single called, Crazy Women and the other two. Her third single called, Give, landed at the 60th spot in July 2011.
