Liam Neeson is an Irish actor who was born on June 7, 1952 in Ballymena, County Antrim, Northern Ireland, to Katherine Kitty and Bernard ‘Barney’ Neeson, a cook and a caretaker of a Catholic school. Neeson was baptized with the name of William John Neeson and was raised as a Roman Catholic. Liam is an Irish name for William. He has three siblings and he was the third and the only boy among them. At the young age of nine, Neeson started o have a boxing lessons at the All Saints Youth Club and he then became an Ulster amateur senior boxing champion. On the other hand, Neeson first hit the stage when he was at the age of 11, when his English instructor includes him in the casts of one of their school plays. He subsequently appeared in various school plays. In addition, Neeson entered the Queen’s University Belfast in Belfast, Northern Ireland, where he was under graduated for the physics and computer science.
Neeson worked for several jobs, when he returned for the Ballymena. Neeson worked as a fork-lift operator at the Guiness and also a truck driver. He also entered the teacher training college which is located in Newcastle for almost two years prior to his return in his home town. In year 1977, Neeson earned his first film, where he portrayed the role of Jesus Christ and Evangelist in the religious movie of Pilgrim’s Progress, which has been directed by Ken Anderson. In year 1993, Neeson joined Natasha Richardson in the Broadway play production entitled, Anna Christie. He then starred in the 1995 film of Rob Roy and in the 1996 Michael Collins, where he was garnered a Golden Globe nomination and award for the Best Starring Role at the Venice Film Festival. In year 1999, he portrayed the role of Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jim in the George Lucas directorial film entitled, Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. He also voiced for the said role in its 2002 sequel called, Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. He is set to appear on it third sequel as the character of Force Ghost but he was not able to appear because of motorcycle injury he endured. On the other hand, he voiced for the character of Qui-Gon on the animated series show of Star Wars”: The Clone wars.
In year 2007, Neeson appeared in the American Civil War epic called Seraphim Falls, which also starred Pierce Brosnan and Anjelica Huston. On the following year, he portrayed the lead role I the action film of Taken, which also includes the stars of Famke Janssen and Maggie Grace. He then portrayed the role of the Greek God Zeus in the remake of the 1982 film of Clash of the Titans in year 201. The film is said to be a box office. In year 2011, Neeson starred in the film entitled, Unknown, which has been compared in his film Taken. In addition, it was announced that Neeson will appear as a guest star in the Showtime network series called, The Big C.
