Liv Tyler is an American actress, who rose to fame, when she portrayed the role of Lucy Harmon in the 1996 drama film entitled, Stealing Beauty. She was born on July 1, 1977, in Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, to Bebe Buell and Steven Tyler, a singer-model and the lead singer of the band, Aerosmith. She was baptized with the real name of Liv Rundgren Tyler and has the combination of Italian, German and Polish as well s Russian and English ancestry. In addition, Tyler entered the Congressional Schools of Virginia and the Breakwater School as well as the Wayniflete School, which is located in Portland Maine. For her junior and high school years, Tyler entered the York Preparatory in New York City after her mother searched the school to accommodate the ADHD of Tyler. She then graduated in year 1995 and left for her to pursue her professional career on acting. At the young age of 14, Tyler earned her first modeling job, with the help of Paulina Porizkowa. Subsequently, Tyler appeared in various TV commercials. However, Tyler found it boring to have a modeling career, she then opted acting.
On the other hand, Tyler was first noticed when she appeared together with Alicia Silverstone in the music video of Aerosmith’s 1993 hit song called, Crazy. She then made her feature film debut in year 1994, appearing in the mystery film called, Silent Fall, where she portrayed the role of Sylvie Warden, together with the stars of Richard Dreyfuss and Linda Hamilton. In year 1995, she starred in the comedy drama entitled, Empire Records, where she portrayed the role of Corey Mason, alongside Anthony LaPaglia and Maxwell Caulfield. She was also included in the casts of the 1996 independent film entitled, Heavy, which also starred Pruitt Taylor Vince and Shelley Winters. On the same year, Tyler had her breakthrough role when she starred in the drama film called, Stealing Beauty, where she portrayed the role of Lucy Harmon, alongside Sinead Cusack and Donal McCann. She was also included in the ensemble of the 1996 comedy drama film called, That Thing You Do!, where she portrayed the role of Faye Dolan, together with Tom Everett Scott and Johnathon Schaech.
On the following year, she appeared the romantic film entitled, Inventing the Abbots, which also starred Pat O’Connor, Joaquin Phoenix and Jennifer Connelly as well as Michael Keaton. On the other hand, Tyler the appeared as Grace Stamper, together with Brice Willis and Ben Affleck in the box office hit film called, Armageddon. She then cast in the drama film of Onegin, which was initially based on the book of Alexander Pushkin, where she played the role of Tatyana Larina, alongside Ralph Fiennes. On the same year, Tyler also appeared in the films of Plunkett & Macleane as well as in Cookie’s Fortune. In yea 2000, she starred in the romantic comedy film entitled, Dr. T & the Women, where she played the role of Marilyn, together with Richard Gere and Helen Hunt. The film also includes the stars of Glenn Close, Julianne Moore and Chris O’Donnell as well as Patricia Neal.
In year 2001, Tyler portrayed the role of Jewel in the dark comedy film called, One Night at McCool’s, which also starred Matt Dillon, Michael Douglas and John Goodman. On the same year she starred in the feature film of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, where she portrayed the role of an elf named Arwen. On the following year, she reprised the role in the 2002 installment of Lord of the Rings entitled, the lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. In year 2003, Tyler appeared again in the third installment of the said film called, The Lord of the Rings: the Return of the King. After she appeared on the Lord of the Rings films, Tyler was included in the casts of the 2004 comedy drama film entitled, Jersey Girl, where she portrayed the role of Maya, together with Ben Affleck and Raquel Castro. On the following year, Tyler also appeared in the Independent film of called, Lonesome Jim, which also starred Casey Affleck.
Subsequently, Tyler appeared in the 2007 drama film entitled, Reign on Me where she portrayed the role of Dr. Angela Oakhurst, together with Adam Sandler and Don Cheadle. Tyler was also included in the casts of the 2008 film of The Incredible Hulk, where she portrayed the role of Dr. Betty Ross, the love interest of The Hulk, the role portrayed by Edward Norton. She then appeared in the comedy film of Smother, which starred Diane Keaton. In year 2010, Tyler appeared in the dark comedy film of Super, where she portrayed the role of Sarah Helgeland, together with the stars of Rain Wilson and Ellen page. Subsequently, Tyler starred in the 2011 thriller film entitled, The Ledge, where she portrayed the role of Shana, alongside the stars of Charlie Hunnam and Patrick Wilson as well as Terrence Howard.
