Kicking off a new year with a high profile cover gig, Marisa Miller is looking sexier than ever on the front page of the January/February 2012 issue of Women’s Health. The 33-year-old supermodel strapped on a colorful bikini for the James White shot spread while chatting with the magazine about her innate shyness, losing weight, taking great photos and strengthening a relationship.
On being a shy person, Miller said that she is very shy noting that she know that it is weird for a person who models lingerie and swimsuits but does not like to be the center of attention. On gaining confidence she said that eighty percent of the things she does are not naturally for her personality adding that she believes you have to fake it till you make it advising that you must act like you are confident and you will get there. On crushing calories with stand-up paddling she said that you are cruising around, so you are not focused on the hard work you are doing and you can modify the workout and go faster and slower. On strengthening a relationship by sharing a project, she said that their dog has become their child noting that they take Lula (their Italian Greyhound) to the beach to run, they potty-trained her and she sleeps in their bed. According to her, she is the first thing they raised together so that means a lot.
On her diet trick of eating with less clothes on, she said that eating smart is all about having an awareness of your body. According to her, the most obvious way to do that is by seeing it so when you are trying to lose weight, spend more time wearing less. She jokingly added that she does not think she could eat a plate of nachos naked. On looking great in photos, she said that a lot of women tuck their hips under to hide their butt in photos but it looks awkward and she suggest to push your butt out and you will get that sexy S shape that looks great in pictures.
The tall, blond stunner is known for her Victoria’s Secret and Sports Illustrated photo spreads and from college dorm room posters across the country. Marisa’s body is a sensation from head-to-toe, but she’s known for her fantastic abs. The supermodel shares her favorite flat-belly moves in Women’s Health.
1. Alternating Crunch: “Working your obliques pulls everything together and gives you a slim waist,” reveals Marisa. Her top move is alternating crunches, which are done by lying on your back with your hands behind your head, elbows out. Then, lift your legs to tabletop position, raise your shoulders off the ground, as you bring your left elbow to right knee. Repeat on other side.
2. Plank: Hold the upper position of a push-up. Then, keeping your arms straight, back flat, and neck long, hold for up to 60 seconds. It’s an excellent ab toner.
3. Leg Raises: Lie on your back, arms at your side and then lift your legs until they’re perpendicular to the floor. Keep legs as straight as possible and slowly lift your tailbone an inch off the floor. Reverse to return to start; repeat for one minute.
