Mark Ruffalo was born on November 22, 1967 in Kenosha, Wisconsin, to Marie Rose and Frank Lawrence Ruffalo, a hairdresser-stylist and a construction painter. He had two sisters named Tania and Nicole; he also has brother named Scott, who passed away on December 2008. Ruffalo, who was raised as a Roman Catholic, entered both Catholic and progressive school and was raised across the local Bahai community, where his father was said to be a member. He spent most of his teen year in Virginia Beach, Virginia, where his father worked as a construction painter. He finished his studies in the First Colonial High School and then relocated together with his family to San Diego, California and then to Los Angeles, California, where entered the Stella Adler Conservatory and also became the co founder of the Orpheus theater Company.
His acting career began when he had supporting roles in the films such as the 1996 movie called, The Dentist and the comedy of Safe Men. He also appeared in the film entitled, Ride with the Devil. He also teamed up with the writer Kennth Lonergan. He then working with him and also appeared on most of his production plays like the 1998 This is our Youth. He subsequently appeared in the film called, You Can Count on Me, where he portrayed the role of Terry Prescott. He then appeared in the 2002 film of XX/XY and in film of Isabel Coixet’s entitled, My Life Without Me, together with the star of Sarah Polley. He starred alongside Meg Ryan in year 2003 for the film of Jane Champion called, In the Cut.
In year 2004, Ruffalo appeared together with Tom Cruise in the film entitled, Collateral. On the same year, he also starred in the romantic film of 13 Going 30, which followed by an role in the 2005 romantic comedy fantasy film of Just Like Heaven, where he portrayed the role of David Abbot. On the following year, Ruffalo starred in the drama film of Awake and Sing! And in the film of Rumor has it, in which he portrayed the role of Jeff Daly. In year 2007, he portrayed the role of Dwight Arno in the film of terry George entitled, Reservation Road, which was initially based on the book of John Burnham Schwartz.
In year 2008, Ruffalo appeared in the film of The Brothers Bloom, where he portrayed the role of Stephen, together with the star of Adrien Brody and Rachel Weisz. On the same year, he appeared together with Julianne Moore in the film called, Blindness. In year 2010, Ruffalo appeared in the film of Lisa Cholodenko entitled, The Kids are all Right, which also includes the stars of Annett Benning and Julianne Moore. On the other hand, Mark Ruffalo is set to star in the upcoming low budgeted film entitled, Second Coming, which was produced by Richard N. Gladstein, together with Laura Bickford and Ludovic Darney, which also stars Marion Coctillars and Ethan Hawke as well as Anjelica Huston and Thandie Newton.
