The 27-year-old American actor, musician and director, was born on June 22, 1984 in Alexandria, Virginia, to Larry Lauria and Tricia Lauria. He was baptized with the real name of Matthew “Matt” Lauria and ha two siblings named Kristen and Alley Lauria. He lived in Ireland for almost five years together with his family and after they relocated to the states, Matt Lauria finished his studies at the Dr. Philips High School in year 2000. After he entered the Florida School of the Arts for his high school years, he then enrolled to the University of the North Carolina School of the Arts. In addition, Lauria also know how to play the instrument of the electric guitar and specialized in the blues-rock. On the other hand, Lauria was famously known for portraying the role of Luke Cafferty on the TV series of the Friday Night Lights as well as the role of Caleb Evens on The Chicago Code.
After they relocated to New York City, New York, few weeks later, she successfully earned the guest starring role of the Winthrop on the NBC’s TV comedy series of the 30 Rock, making his first show. After his appearance on the said show, he was included in the casts of the NBC’s crime drama series of the Law & Order: Criminal Intent, where he portrayed the role of Jake Lally. In year 2008, he became an official series regular role star of the NBC’s comedy romance of called, Lipstick Jungle, where he portrayed the role of Roy Merrit, which also includes the star of Brooke Shields and Andrew McCarthy ad well as Robert Buckley. However, after the thirteen episodes of the show, Lauria has been dropped out of the said series. He then appeared in the 2009 short film entitled, 8 Easy Steps, where he portrayed the role of VeggieLite.
Furthermore, Lauria portrayed the role of Luke Cafferty in the award winning sports drama series of the Friday Night Lights, which also includes the stars of Kyle Chander, Connie Britton, Gauis Charles and Zach Gliford as well as Minka Kelly, Adrianne Palicki and Taylor Kitsch, the series also includes Jesse Piemons and Scott Porter. On the other hand, the series led for Lauria to travel the Pflugerville, Texas, for him to film. In addition, Lauria stayed on the show until it recently ended. Lauria has recently been included in the casts of the season five of the hit show called, Burn Notice, where he will be portraying the role of Ethan. Moreover, after Lauria completed the show of Friday Night Light, he relocated to Chicago Illinois, after he was included as regular cast of Caleb Evers in the crime drama of Fox network entitled, The Chicago Code. However, the show was pulled out after its first season.
