Melissa George is an Australian actress, who earned much prominence for the portrayal of Angel Parrish in the soap opera called,Home ad Away. She was born on August 6, 1976 in Perth, Western Australia, to Pamela and Glenn George, a nurse and a construction worker. She was baptized with the real name of Melissa Suzanne George and was the second of four siblings. She began showing interest in dancing at the young age of seven. Her passion for dancing later on turned to be a passion for artistic roller skating. George was said to be an Australian national roller-skating champion and had won bronze medals in the National Championships in year 1989 and year 1990. In addition, she won the silver medal in the junior World Championship on the following year.

On the other hand, when George was on her teen-age years, she started on modeling, and was crowned as the Western Australia’s Teenage Model for the Year (1992). When she reached the age of sixteen, George met Liz Mullinar, who is a casting agent, and eventually earned the role of Angel Parrish in the wwll-known Australian soap opera entitled, Home and Away. Her role garnered her five nominations from Logie Award, and won the two of them. She then relocated to Sydney for her to have her start in her professional acting career. Subsequently, she had her 1996, health and fitness video, which has been called as Mind, Body and Soul. She also had a repeating role in the TV series of Roar, in year 1997 alongside Heath Ledger. On the following year, George portrayed the role of May in the thriller film entitled, Dark City.She then appeared in the 1999 of The Limey, where she portrayed the role of Jenny Wilson. subsequently, she joined the ensemble of the 2001 comedy film called, Sugar & Spice and in the David Lynch’s Mulholland Drive, where she portrayed the role of Camilla Rhodes.

In year 2003, she appeared as Elkie in the film called, Down with Love. George appeared in two of the episodes of the TV series pf Friends, portraying the role of Molly. She was also featured as Freyja in the two-part episode of the TV series called, Charmed. She then had a repeating role of Lauren Reed in the TV series of Alias. She then appeared as Kathyy Lutz in the 2005 film of The Amityville Horror, alongside Ryan Reynolds. On the same year, she appeared as Deanna Schine in the film of Derailes. In year 2007, George portrayed the role of Stella Oleson in the horror film called, 30 Days of Night. She also had a recurring role in the TV series of Grey’s Anatomy, which she portrayed from year 2008 until 2009. She was also included in the casts of the 2010 film of Swinging with the Fingkels and in Lie to Me. She then portrayed the role of Alison in the 2011 film called, A Lonely Place to Die.
