Miranda Cosgrove, who is most notable on her portrayal as Megan Parker in the sitcom called Drake & Josh, was born on May 14, 1993 in Los Angeles to Tom and Chris, cleaning business manager and a house wife. At the young age of three, Cosgrove was discovered by a talent manager, while she was performing at the Los Angeles restaurant Taste of L.A. she said that she never considered being an actress but when she accepted the offer of the talent manager, Cosgrove appeared in several TV commercials such as the commercials for the McDonald’s and Mello Yello. At the young age of seven, Cosgrove came up to a decision to be devoted to on what she is doing, she then auditioned for some theater and TV roles.
Cosgrove debuted for a small role in the pilot episode of the series show of Smallvile, where she portrayed the five year old role of Lana Lang. She subsequently portrayed the role of Summer Hathaway, who was described as a young girl who has a great ambition who will become a band manager of a classroom’s class band in the 2003 film entitled, School of Rock. It was said to be a box office film grossing a total amount of $131,282,942 across the world. Cosgrove portrayal on the film was then praised by David Ansen of the Newsweek. On the other hand, after the School of Rock movie, Cosgrove has discovered the English Rock band of Led Zeppelin and then she took up the electric guitar.
In year 2004, Cosgrove appeared in various shows such as the animated series show of What’s up Scooby-Doo?, and in one of the episodes on the fifth season of the series called, Grounded for Life, where she portrayed the role of Jessica. She got her breakthrough role in a TV series, when she took one of the lead roles in the series of the Nickelodeon entitled, Drake & Josh, together with the star of Drake Bell and Josh Peck. On the said series, Cosgrove portrayed the role of Megan Parker. In year 2005, she portrayed the role of Munch in the film of Disney Channel entitled, Here Comes Peter Cottontail: The Movie. Her role is a mouse, which is being saved from a hawk by the character of Junior and Flutter. She also appeared as a guest star in the two episodes of the animated comedy of Lilo & Stitch: The Series, which is the spin-off of the initial film called, Lilo $ Stitch.
In February 2010, Cosgrove joined as an ambassador of the skincare and the cosmetics company called, Neutrogena. She was also featured in the animated film of Despicable Me, which was released on July 2010. On the following year, Cosgrove announced the title of het new EP, which is entitled to High Maintenance. She also released her single called, Dancing Crazy, which was written but Max Martin, Shellback and Avril Lavigne. The song took the number forty spot US Billboard Adult Popp Songs chart.
