Miranda Kerr was born in Australia on April 20, 1983 in the town of Gunnedah. She was grown in Brisbane, Queensland to multi-ethnic parents of Serbian, Iranian, Turkish and Filipino descent.  Kerr is an Australian model best known as one of the Victoria’s Secret Angels since mid-2007.  She is the first Australian to participate in the Victoria’s Secret campaign and also represents Australian fashion chain David Jones.  Kerr began modeling in the fashion industry when she was 13, starting at Chaay’s Modeling agency, and soon after winning a 1997 Australian nationwide model search hosted by Dolly magazine and Impulse fragrances.

Kerr was born in Sydney and raised in the small town of Gunnedah, New South Wales.  She is the daughter of Therese and John Kerr.  She has a brother, Matthew, who is two years younger.  During her childhood, Kerr raced motorbikes and rode horses on her grandmother’s farm.  She describes her early life in the Australian countryside as very grounding, there was not any pretentiousness and no one really cared what you were wearing.  You could just be you.  Her family moved to Brisbane to allow Kerr and her brother to experience city life, where she graduated from All Hallows’ School in 2000. Kerr originally went on to study nutrition and health psychology before pursuing modeling.

Miranda Kerr is famous for breaking an infamous supermodel stereotype by being quite friendly.  Maybe that comes from her belief.  Kerr practices Japanese Buddhism and believes we have a responsibility to bring peace and harmony to our lives and the world.  You simply cannot be healthy or look great on the outside if you are not healthy on the inside.

Miranda’s love life is always in the center of public attention. In 2003 she was dating the Australian finance broker Adrian Camilleri. Their romance lasted for 18 months but then following an Australian Securities and Investments Commission investigation, Camilleri was found guilty on five counts of fraudulent behavior, and the couple split. 2007 reports claimed Kerr suffered financially “after taking her boyfriend’s financial advice” but chose not to take legal action.  From 2005 to 2007 Miranda was dating Tamarama’s Brent Tuhtam. Little is known about their relationship.

In October 2007 Miranda Kerr started dating English hottie Orlando Bloom. It’s probable that Buddhism was one of the things that brought them together.  They announced they were dating in February 2008 and in April 2008 Miranda introduced Bloom to her parents.  In June 2009, there was a rumor the couple were moving in together as they were spotted looking at a $13 million mansion in Malibu.  In late June 2010, Orlando’s rep confirmed the couple got engaged to be married.

Miranda and Orlando wed in a secret ceremony just a month after the engagement.  Two weeks later it was reported Miranda was pregnant with the couple’s first child.  Miranda and Orlando welcomed their son Flynn Christopher Blanchard Copelandon Bloom January 6, 2011.  The middle name Christopher comes from Kerr’s ex-boyfriend Christopher Middlebrook who died in a car accident in 1998 when they were 15.  Miranda was back on the runway less than two months after giving birth.  Miranda, known for her love of organic products and eco-friendly lifestyle, was named the new global ambassador for Earth Hour 2011.  The Aussie beauty recently fronted the Victoria’s Secret fashion show in New York modeling a whooping £1.6million fantasy bra.

Australian Supermodel Miranda Kerr headlined the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in New York Wednesday clad in a bra worth a whopping £1.6million.  The Fantasy Treasure creation features nearly 3,400 precious gems, including 142-carats of white and yellow diamonds, pearls, faceted citrines and aquamarines, all set in 18-carat white and yellow gold.  The Fantasy Bra is the product of hand-stich – 500 hours total – of the world’s renowned London Jewelers, inspired by an underwater dreamland.

Kerr said that it is such an honor to wear the bra and it is such a piece of artwork.  She added that it is absolutely stunning and it kind of feels a little mermaid-like but she cannot believe that she is wearing $2.5 million on her chest.  The show-stopping Fantasy Bra made the audience – including Kerr’s husband Orlando Bloom – to rise from their seats to give standing ovation to the beauty sparkling in the peacock wings.  Orlando Bloom sat front and center to watch wife Miranda Kerr strut down the catwalk.  During her first walk, Bloom stood up and cheered for his Australian love.  Then, during another walk, Kerr gave her beau a wink and blew him a kiss.

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2011, the most celebrated fashion show of the world, featured the Victoria’s Secret’s hottest supermodels including Miranda Kerr, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Doutzen Kroes, Chanel Iman, Erin Heatherton, Lily Aldridge, and Lindsey Ellingson.  Performances by nicki Minaj, Jay-Z, Kanye West and Maroon 5 treated the audience with extra hypes at the $12 million show.  Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine performed at the fashion show, singing alongside VS model girlfriend, Anne Vyalitsyna.  When his band took the stage to perform their hit “Moves Like Jagger,” Levine could not resist touching the blonde beauty.  With six themes, 38 models walked down the runway presenting 69 looks of the U.S. lingerie brand.

The no-expense spared runway show marked Kerr’s return to the Victoria’s Secret catwalk after the new mum took a year off to have son Flynn.  She said that it is very special and now she feel better than ever noting that she feel healthier than she has ever felt.  According to Kerr, it was wonderful to have a bit of time off after she was pregnant and having Flynn but now, she is back in the swing of things, and it feels good.  The supermodel said of her 10-month old baby that he puts everything into perspective and he is the most important thing in her life noting that he is such a ball of light and love.

Miranda completed a series of outfit changes, including a mish-mash combination of a purple bra and stripy silk sarong and a red lacy two-piece with ballet-style heels.  Despite all the money, the show was not without a hitch – Miranda’s red shoes complete with ribbons criss-crossed up her legs came undone and she left the runway, causing them to trail behind her.  Her husband seated on the front row cheered in excitement as she was opened the evening with her lacy red and white bra.

Recently after giving birth to her first son Flynn, the stunning Miranda Kerr stripped for Style Magazine Harper’s Bazaar for its November issue.  Also appearing in the cover of Bazaar that will be out next week, Orlando Bloom’s wife showed stunning form just eight months after giving birth.  The 28-year-old Kerr was reportedly “still breast-feeding” her son during the time of the photo shoot.  Edwina having said that statement added, and having seen her this week, I think she still is.  The Australian beauty began dating the Pirates of the Caribbean star in 2007 and they wed in an intimate ceremony in July last year.  In one of the photo, Miranda appeared pre-occupied on reading the sports pages that she only managed to wear her leopard print headscarf and blood red Dolce & Gabbana stilettos.  She was styled by Jillian Davison.  The cost of her Cartier earrings, two Bulgari rings and two Delfina Deletrez cuffs added up to a whopping $59,279.  No doubt as to why the British actor is very eager on taking Miranda down the aisle.  Definitely, she is a thing of beauty.  Harper’s Bazaar editor, Edwina McCann says that Kerr was perfect for the magazine’s swim edition as she is the new “Aussie body.”

The Victoria Secret supermodel has something to say about being a mom.  She said, “It’s the best thing I’ve ever done, becoming a mother puts everything into perspective.  You become more comfortable in your own skin.”  She also thinks of her son Flynn who will be turning one this January as “a bundle of Love.”  She also talked about the possibility of becoming an actor just like her husband, saying, “If someone approached me and it sounded interesting, I wouldn’t be opposed to it.”  Kerr is enjoying motherhood, but isn’t ruling out a change of career.

In an interview, Miranda also talks about living a balanced life, becoming a mother to Flynn Bloom and living her aspirations in life.  She said, “I always say life is about balance, not about depriving yourself. If you want something then I encourage you to have it. When you deprive yourself, you naturally crave it more.  In addition, about her baby she said, “I’d say what makes me happy is having this little man. I’m the happiest when I’m surrounded by those I love and we are in a natural environment.”

Ahead of the photo-shoot, she just finished her modeling stint at Paris Fashion Week.  Reportedly, the reason behind Orlando Bloom’s disappearance to the last sequel of the Pirates of the Caribbean is to take care of pregnant Miranda.  Just before the supermodel get pregnant, she appears in a series of nude photo-shoots one of which showcase her pregnant body.  Without question, Miranda is one of the most beautiful supermodels around and seems perfectly happy to remind the world of the fact.  She seems more confident with her clothes off than with it on her body.  She surely can make a lot of man look forward to the upcoming issue of the magazine and ladies envy her perfect physique.
