Missi Pyle is an American actress and singer, who is most notable for the portrayal of Laliari in the film of Galaxy Quest , as well as the members of the desert country-rock band called, Smith & Pyle. Pyle was born on November 16, 1972 in Houston, Texas, to Linda and Frank Pyle. She was baptized with the real name of Andrea Kay ‘Missi’ Pyle and was raised in Memphis, Tennessee. She has two siblings named Debbie and Julie as well as n older brothers named Sam and Paul. In addition, Pyle has half-brother and sister named Gordon and Meredith. She entered the North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem, NC, where she graduated in year 1995. The Poplar Pike Playhouse honored her at her Alma mater, Germantown High School, which is located in Germantown, Tennessee.

On the other hand, Pyle appeared as a guest star in the TV programs like, Heroes, where she portrayed the role of Hope and in the TV series of Mad about You, as the Beautiful Woman. She was also featured in The Sarah Silverman Program, where she played the role of Scarlett Lacey for three episodes. Moreover, Pyle made her start in film roles when she appeared in the 1997 romantic comedy film called, AS Good as It Gets, which starred Helen Hunt and Jack Nicholson.  In year 1998, she appeared as Laurel in the film of Number One. On the following year, Pyle had her break, portraying the role of Laliari in the science fiction film entitled, Galaxy Quest. In year 2001, she appeared as Alexander Cabot in the comedy film of Josie and the Pussycats, together with Rachel Leigh Cook, Tara Reid and Rosario Dawson.

On the following year, Pyle starred in the film of Home Alone 4, where she portrayed the role of Vera, together with Mark Weinberg and French Stewart. In year 2003, Pyle had a supporting role in the romantic comedy film of Bringing Down the House, which earned her a nomination for MTV Movie Award for Best Fight. She then appeared in the 2004 romantic comedy film of the 50 First Dates, where she portrayed the role of Noreen, together with Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. On the same year, she appeared in the comedy film of Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story as well as in Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. She then includes in the ensemble of the 2005 film of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, where she appeared as Mrs. Beauregarde.

On the following year, she appeared as Peggy Brayden in the film of Stormbreaker. In year 2008, Pyle appeared in various films like, Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay, Meet Market, Visioneers and Soccer Mom. On the following year, she appeared as Charlene in Spring Breakdown and in 2010 as Charmine in the film called, Miss Nobody. In addition, Pyle portrayed the role of Constance in the 2011 film of The Artist and is recently appeared in the film of A Cinderella Story: Once Upon a Song.
