Natasha Henstridge is a Canadian fashioned model and actress, who earned much prominence when she portrayed the role of Sil in the science fiction film entitled, Species. She was born o August 15, 1974 in Springdale, Newfoundland and Labrador, to Helen Henstridge and Brian Henstridge, a homemaker and business owner. She was baptized with the real name of Natasha T, Henstridge and was raised in Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada, together with her brother named Shane. At the young age of 14, Henstridge went to Casablanca Modeling Agency’s “Look of the Year” contest, where she was crowned as the first runner up. On the following year, she moved to Paris to pursue her modeling career. When she turned 15, Henstridge featured on a magazine’s cover, which is the French version of the renowned magazine of Cosmopolitan. She then appeared in various magazine covers. Subsequently, Henstridge appeared in the TV commercials of the products like Olay and Old Spice as well as Lady Stetson. After her career in modeling has been established, she changed her field into acting career.
In year 1995, Henstridge had her film debut with the movie entitled, Species, where she portrayed the role of Sil. Her portrayal on the film earned her the MTV Movie Award for the category of Best Kiss. In year 1998, she appears as Eve, the duplicate of Sil, in the sequel to the 1995 film of Species. However, the film failed to hit box office. She then had roles in the independent films of Bela Donna and Dog Park, where she portrayed the role of Lorna, together with the stars of Janeane Garofalo and Luke Wilson as well as Kathleen Roertson and Gordon Currie. On the other hand, Henstridge starred together with Jean-Claude Van Damme in the action film called, Maximum Risk, where she portrayed the role of Alex Minetti. On the following year, Henstridge starred in the film of The Whole Nine Yards as well in its sequel called, The Whole Ten Yards, which was released in year 2004. In the film, she portrayed the role of Cynthia Tudeski.
In year 2001, she appeared in the science fiction film called, Ghosts of Mars, where she portrayed the female lead role of Melanie Ballard, alongside Ice Cube and Jason Statham. In year 2005, she appeared as Linda Dupree Cavabaugh in the TV film called, Widow on the Hill. Moreover, Henstridge was also included in the casts of the drama-thriller film called Deception, where she portrayed the role of Simone Wilkinson, together with Hugh Jackman and Ewan McGregor as well as Michelle Williams. On the following year, she appeared in two films, in Anytown and in Let the Game Begin. In year 2010, Henstridge appeared as Lisa Rayborn in the TV film called, You Lucky Dog as well as in the Devil’s Teardrop, which was also a TV film. in addition, Henstridge is set to appear in the upcoming film of Should’ve Been Romeo.
