The American actor and writer, who is most notable on his portrayal in films of Wedding Crashes and in The Royal Tenenbaums, was born on November 18, 1968 in Dallas, Texas to Lara Cunningham Wilson and Robert Andrew Wilson, who is a renowned photographer and an advertising executive operator of a public TV station. He was baptized with the name of Owen Cunningham Wilson and has two siblings, his older brother Andrew and his younger brother named, Luke, who also involved in filming. His family, who was an Irish-American and a Roman Catholic member, was initially based in Massachusetts.

Owen Wilson acting career, began when he starred in the film called ‘Bottle Rocket ‘by Wes Anderson. He portrayed the role of Dignan on the said film. In addition, he also helped Anderson to write the film. Also, he teamed up with Anderson as a creative collaborator on the next two directorial projects called, Rushman and The Royal Tenenbaums and as a results, the two were both nominated for an Oscar  award in the category for Best Original Screenplay.

In year 2000, Wilson earned his break when he appeared on the comedy-action hit film of Shanghai Noon which also starred, Jackie Chan. It was said that the film almost earned an amount of $100 Million worldwide. His eminence kept on to rise after appearing together with Ben Stiller as well as Will Ferrell in film called, Zoolander in year 2001.

Owen Wilson also starred in the 2002 comedy film entitled, I Spy, alongside Eddie Murhy. Unfortunately, the big screen adaptation of the TV series was failed to top the box office. After that, he teamed up with Chan to make the Shanghai Knights film in year 2003 as well as the film adaptation of the TV series called, Starsky & Hutch in year 2004.

In year 2005, Wilson was being paired with the American actor, Vince Vaughn in the box office hit film of Wedding Crashes. The said film grossed over $200 Million in just US. Also, Owen teamed up with his brothers in, The Wendell Baker Story, which was penned down by his brother Luke and has been directed by both of his brothers. In year 2006, his voice was featured in the Disney/Pixar film entitled, Cars. Wilson already appeared in several films such as, Night in the Museum in year 2006, the second sequel of Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian in 2009 and the Little Fockers in year 2010. I addition, Owen Wilson was recently starred on the 2011 romantic comedy film of Woody Allen entitled, Midnight in Paris and he was joined by the couple of Rachel McAdams and Charlie Sheen together with Kathy Bates and Marion Cotullard.

In his personal life, January 2011, Owen Wilson and his girlfriend Jade Duell were expecting their first child and after four days, it was announced that Duell gave birth to a healthy baby boy in Hawaii. The newly-born child was named as, Robert Ford Wilson.
