Paris Jackson on The Ellen DeGeneres ShowParis Jackson, daughter of the late pop-superstar Michael Jackson, shared with Ellen DeGeneres the best advice her father gave her in a rare televised interview for “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”

The images of Paris, Prince and Blanket Jackson with their faces obscured by masks were commonplace when the late Michael Jackson traveled with his children.  Though the mysterious habit may have seemed odd to many, Paris, now 13, says she finally understands why her dad required the kids to cover up.  She said that she used to think that it was stupid asking why she is wearing a mask when she was asked if hiding her face was weird.  However, she said that she kind of realize the older she got that MJ only tried to protect them and he had explained it to them.

The aspiring actress, who recently nabbed her first acting role, revealed she was bitten by the acting bug after watching her father perform.  She said that she loves acting noting that his dad was in the movie Moonwalker and she knew he could sing really well but she did not know that he could act.  She added that when she saw that she said to herself that she wanted to be just like him.  The film featuring Jackson’s signature dance move and other videos was released in 1988.  She added that they used to do improvisation sessions together noting that he would give them little scenarios and direct them that in the scene they are going to cry and she would cry on the spot.

Paris also shared what she considers the King of Pop’s most memorable piece of fatherly advice.  She remember him saying that if he die tomorrow, they must always remember what he told them.  Paris claimed that she took his advice and she remembered everything he told her.  As of now, Paris said that she is being treated the same noting that when she came to school, people there do not know who she was.  She said she thought that she has a chance to be normal.

Paris also landed her acting debut as previously reported on AccessHollywood.com.  Paris will star as yet undisclosed human character in “Lundon’s Bridge and the Three Keys,” a live action feature film based on a children’s book series by Dennis H. Christen.  According to the book’s description on Amazon, the story surrounds “the war between the land and the sea.”  The film will also feature the voices of Larry King as King Pom, his wife, Shawn King as Queen Dalina, and Joey Fatone as Paco, a sea horse.  The project is currently in production and no release date is currently available.  The Internet Movie Database shows the film is tentatively scheduled for a 2013 release, although filmmakers have not presented the teen’s proposed acting contract to a Los Angeles court as required because she is a minor.

Paris and her two brothers, Prince and Blanket, are now in the care of their grandmother Katherine Jackson.
