Paul Danon is an American actor, who is most notable for the portrayal in various films like The Girl Next Door, L.I.E, Little Miss Sunshine and There Will BE Blood as well as the film of Where the Wild Things are. The 27-year-old actor was born on June 19, 1984 in New York City, to Gladys and Paul Dano. He spent most of his childhood years in the New York City, where he entered the Browning School, while his father was currently working as a businessman in New York. He was baptized with the real name of Paul Franklin Dano. While he was still a child, he together with his family, relocate from New York to New Canaan, Connecticut and settled in Wilton, Connecticut, the place where he pursue his studies at the Wilton High School. He then graduated in year 2002 and then entered the Eugene Lang College in New York, NY.
When he was still a child, Dano was engaged in various community theater and while have a performance in New Canaan, both of his parents were eager to take him to New York City. At the young age of 10, he was immediately scouted for different roles on plays in some Broadway productions. At the age of 12, Dano debuted in a revival of the Inhent the Wind, together with the stars of George C. Scott and Charles Dunning and at the young age of 17, he was included in the American Independent film of L.I.E (Long Island Expressway), making his first major film. He portrayed the role of Howie Blitzer on the said film.
After portraying the role of Howie Blitzer on the film of L.I.E, he then included in the casts of the comedy-drama film of Little Miss Sunshine, where he portrayed the role of Dwayne. He subsequently portrayed the role of Eli and Paul Sunday in the box office hit drama film of Paul Thomas Anderson entitled, There Will Be Blood. The film garnered him a nomination for the BAFTA award for the category of Best Supporting Actor. He also received positive reviews from the film reviewers.
Dano continuously appeared in various independent films. He is also active when it comes on stage productions, appearing in number of Broadway productions, which also includes the stage play called, Inhent The Wind, Amonth in the Country and the play of A Thousand Clowns, which all held at the Roundabout Theater. Paul Dano also appeared in the directorial stage play of Ethan Hawke entitled, Things We Want, during its 2007 off-Broadway run. In addition, Dano is the vocals and the lead guitarist of the band called, Mook. He was also included in the Rolling Stone magazine’s Hot List for the year of 2007. On the following year, he took the number five spot on the list of the Entertainment Weekly’s 30 Under 30. On the other hand, Dano recently appeared in the 2011 films of Looper and Cowboys $ Aliens.
