After their engagement last May, the Beatle Star, Paul McCartney ties the knot with a businesswoman from New York named Nancy Shevell at London’s Old Marylebone Town Hall in front of 30 guests including fellow Beatle, Ringo Starr and wife Barbara Walters, on October 9, 2011.  This was the same place where McCartney married his late wife Linda Eastman in 1969, who then died of breast cancer in 1998.  The wedding was McCartney’s third after officially divorcing with Heather Mills in 2008.  This is Shevell’s second wedding.  Designed by the singer’s daughter, Stella McCartney, Paul was in a navy blue suite with light blue tie while the bride wore a long-sleeved ivory knee-high gown with a white flower in her hair.  Sir Paul’s five children were also present in the event including the adopted eldest daughter Heather from Linda’s first marriage, photographer Mary, fashion designer Stella, son James, and youngest daughter Beatrice.

The wedding was far different to the one Sir Paul had with his former wife Heather Mills from which £1.5?million were allotted to accommodate the grand wedding at Castle Leslie in Ireland attended by roughly 300 guests.  It was held at the same day of John Lennon’s 71st birthday.

Earlier that morning, the two reportedly spend time to the gym for a workout both wearing a sporty dark tracksuit.  Ahead of the nuptials, the bride had looked happy and relaxed while his perfect gentleman soon to be husband escorts her into the car.  The bride was carrying a simple bouquet of mixed coloured roses headed to the registry office wherein Sir Paul’s daughter and the wedding’s flower girl, Beatrice met them at the entry of the hall.  The eight-year-old daughter of Heather Mills looked pretty on her gorgeous dress, rose pink coat ballet slippers and floral headdress.  The ceremony which was conducted by the superintendent registrar, Allison Cathcart last Sunday afternoon was simple and understated costing 1,540.  As the couple left the registry office, genuine smiles were painted on their face amidst the rose petals thrown onto them.  The Beatle singer and songwriter along with his new wife waved happily to the crowd or fans and well-wishers before making their way to their North London home for reception.  McCartney told the waiting reporters how he feels about the marriage, “Terrific, thank you. I feel married,” adding, “I feel absolutely wonderful.”

Sir Paul was set to perform a new song as a gift to his new wife at the wedding reception as well as the iconic Beatle songs “Let it be” and “Let Me Roll It”.  After the celebrations, the newlyweds are expected to fly to America to mark their nuptials with a second gathering at the Hamptons, the exclusive seaside enclave two hours from New York where they both own homes.  If the mood Sunday is any indication, the man responsible for classics like “Penny Lane” and the angst-ridden “Eleanor Rigby” may find pleasure and contentment in the years ahead. That is certainly, what his fans are hoping.
