Ray Liotta is an American actor, who is most notable for the portrayal for the role of Henry Hill in the film entitled, Goldfellas. He was born in December 18, 1954 in Newark, New Jersey. By six months, Liotta was adopted by Mary Liotta, who is an appointed township clerk and Alfred Liotta, an auto parts store owner. However, je still met his Italian biological mother whom he expected to have a Scottish and Italian Descent. In addition, Liotta graduated from the Union High School in Union, New Jersey in year 1973. He also entered the University of Miami, where he took acting and performed at the university’s Jerry Herman Ring Theatre.
On the other hand, Liotta had his initial roles in the soap opera called, Another World, where he portrayed the role of Joey Perrini. He appeared on the said show form the year 1978 until 1981. He then had his film debut, where he portrayed the role of Pia Zadora in the cult classic entitled, The Lonely Lady. In year 1987, he earned a Golden Globe nomination for his portrayal in the role of Ray Sinclair in the 1986 film entitled, Something Wild. In year 1989, he was included in the cast of the film called, Field of Dreams, which also includes the stars of Kevin Costner and Amy Madigan as well as James Earl Jones.
In year 1990, he appeared in the film of Goodfellas, where he portrayed the role of Henry Hill. The film earned him six nominations for Academy Awards, which also includes the nomination for the Best Picture. In year 1998, he portrayed the role of Frank Senatra in the TV film called, The Rat Pat, which he garnered a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination. In year 2002, he lends his voice for the video game called, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City/ on the same year, he portrayed the role of Det. Lt. Henry oak in the film of Narc, which earned him an Independent Spirit Award nomination for the category for the Best Supporting Male. On the same year, he had an appearance in the TV drama of ER, where he portrayed the role of Charlie Metcalf in its episode entitled, Time of Death.
In year 2006, he starred in the CBS TV series of Smith, where he portrayed the role of Bobby Stevens, together with Jonny Lee Miller and Franky G. he then appeared in the crime film of Smokin’ Aces. He then appeared together with John Travolta in the film of Wild Hogs as well as in the 2001 film of Blow. In year 2011, he appeared in the film of Street Kings: Motor City and in The Rivers Murders. In addition, he will be appearing in the upcoming film of Cogan’s Trade.
