They then moved to Cramlington, Northumberland, where e was raised. Stevenson, who is the second of the three siblings, was baptized with the name of George Raymond ‘Ray” Stevenson.

He had a lead role in the City Central and in the TV series show At Home with the Braitwaiters. Also, he made an appearance in films like the 1995 Some Kind of Life, together with the star of Jane Horrocks. He then appeared in the film of The Return of the Native, together with Catherine eta Jones.

Ray Stevenson recently appeared in the box office hit film of Thor, where he portrayed the role of Volstagg, one of the faithful companions of Thor. In addition, Stevenson will also appear in the 2011 film adaptation of The Three Musketeers, where he will be portraying the role of Porthos. The film is set to direct by Paul W.S. Anderson. On April 2011, Stevenson was included in the casts of the upcoming film of the Single Shot, which will be directing by the film director David Rosenthal.
