The 60-year-old actor, Robin Williams tied the knot with graphic designer Susan Schneider on Sunday (October 23, 2011) at the luxurious Meadowood Resort in Napa Valley, the section of northern California known for wine and romance according to his representative.  This will be the third time that the actor has been married.  Famous guests at the nuptials included Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and Billy Crystal.  Just days before the nuptials Susan, who is the boss of graphic design firm Critical Eye Design, told the San Francisco chronicle she was so excited and thrilled about tying the knot.  The couple has been dating for around two years before they got married last Sunday.  The star met Schneider in mid-2009 and she was at his side nursing him back to health at his LA home following his heart surgery.

Robin’s actress daughter Zelda, 22, took to her twitter page to reveal some details from the big day.
In a series of tweets posted yesterday, she said Let the wedding madness begin. His dad just called @RobertKazinsky and @ShannonCollis her hetero-lifemates at the wedding. Now everyone thinks that she is a redhead polygamist. She also said that she just realized that her tweets have probably been misconstrued and added that it is not her wedding.  Regardless of that she thanked all who extended their congratulations.  The wedding festivities rage on but her tired feet are done. Think it is time to lay in the tub, eat m&m’s and write.  Set against the fall foliage of the vineyard, the new Mr. and Mrs. Williams danced the night away, according to Zelda.

Williams has enjoyed huge success in Hollywood, but has had a turbulent personal life, battling alcoholism, health issues and going through two divorces.  The ‘Dead Poets Society’ star’s first wife was Valerie Velardi with whom he has a son, 28-year-old Zachary  and he was married to her for 10 years until they divorced in 1988.  During his first marriage, he had a fling with cocktail waitress Michelle Tish Carter.  Marsha Garces was Robin Williams’ second wife from which he have two children, Zelda and Cody, 19.  Their split was legally ended last year after she initially filed for divorce in March 2008 citing “irreconcilable differences”.

In the wake of his separation from Marsha, Robin vowed to never walk down the aisle again, saying no sir not again it is not just for the financial reasons but people would think twice about divorce if they had to give up a body part instead of half their fortune. You know, you see someone with one leg and one arm, and you say, Hi, Bill, is this your third marriage? Let us not get to fourth marriages.

Williams, who has a career spanning over three decades, is best known for family comedy films like “Mrs. Doubtfire” and “Night at the Museum.” He is an established stand-up comedian and won an Oscar for supporting actor in “Good Will Hunting” in 1998.  The actor will next be heard voicing two characters in the upcoming animated comedy, “Happy Feet Two.”
